This not the most attractive wine tasting place we visited. But the amazing staff more than made up for this. Very knowledgeable on the wines and advice on other Vineyards to visit (not something other Vineyards reciporicated).

This set up an awesome day for us.

    Great advice

Four of us did a tasting a Elderton last week. We are all wine buffs, who have tasted extensively at cellar doors around the world, and I have to say that our experience at Elderton was World Class.

We had booked for the Exceptional Sites tasting, which we took in front of the fire at the historic Ashmead residence (now the cellar door) on a winter’s afternoon. The house itself is set in the middle to home block vineyard site, surround by vines, some quite ancient, so the setting is special.

Jodhi hosted us, guiding us through the range and throwing in a couple of unexpected treats along the way. We are familiar with much of the Elderton range, and so it was no surprise that the wines were excellent.

Equally, Jodhi was a warm and professional guide, whose knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for wine shone through. As we departed we spied her Australian 2023 Best Wine Communicator - Cellar Door award; based on our experience, that accolade was richly deserved.

Thanks Jodhi and Elderton for rounding our time in the Barossa with such a great tasting, and (as Kiwis) for the Pinot Noir banter!

We also visited the Wolf Blass museum in Hahndorf. The one here in Nuri, was just as interesting and worth a visit.

Thank you Emma for your amazing knowledge and fun conversation while we tasted your delicious wines. The setting is beautiful and it’s a short walk from Tanunda. If you have the chance to go here you won’t be dissapointed.

I was with a group of friends visiting the Barossa Valley with A Taste of Barossa Tours. Alicia (sp?) welcomed us straight off the minibus with a glass of bubbles. Such knowledge of the history of the vineyard and the wine making process balanced beautifully with letting our tastebuds decide what each wine would mean to us. Thanks to Russell from A Taste Of Barossa and our fabulous driver and brilliant guide for bringing us to Rosenvale.

Great tasting, wines from Barossa, Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale.

    Many different wines and varieties.
    Was delicious and very fun.

    Their premium range is sublime.

And tapas lunch was the real deal.

Laid back friendly winery that is a great spot to visit after the stuffy Maggie Beers shop. They offer a number of lawn games to keep the kids occupied and they cater well to families.

The tyre swing was a big hit with my kids

Visited the cellar door on Sunday - what an amazing experience we had! From the minute we walked in we were warmly welcomed by Isabelle and she took us through the history of the vineyard and the wonderful tasting of their great wines. We then ventured out onto the deck with amazing views of the vineyard and enjoyed a delicious platter accompanied by a glass of their awesome wine! By far the best cellar door experience we had whilst in the Barossa and it is definitely a must for everyone! Do yourself a favour and visit Atze’s - you won’t regret it!

I am not a wine drinker but was part of a family group doing a wime tasting experience with Niki the cellar door manager. It was so much fun, Niki was amazing so knowledgeable and hilarious! My husband reveived a certificate as a wine coniseur and learnt so much. We met the owners Paul and Mara, lovely people.
I look forward to coming back for another amazing experience as a non-drinker 😊

Can’t recommend highly enough , my favourite winery of all we visited (a lot)
Extremely welcoming lady, who kept us entertained with history of the wines/area/bone setter/hospital etc.
I sat with my baby grandson on the porch , while family tried the wines , so homely & comfortable , the host was a pleasure to meet . Bonus the family loved the wines . Will definitely come back here if ever in this area again

One of my wedding couples is getting married in the Barossa and they LOVE trains, so perfect place for some photos for them with the big old steam train. Such a spacious park too for private parties. I have face painted here many times. Facilities are always clean too which is nice. Even a skate park for the teens!

What a lovely cellar door. Beautiful location in a new recently finished building. We were very well looked after by a friendly host who was informative and friendly. A very pleasant place to visit. The wines were of high quality but not to my taste. Too light for me.
