Wineries & Vineyards
In Kalleske Cellar Door you will be able to taste our current range of wines and hear all about the history behind the Kalleske vines. Cheese platters of local Barossa produce are available to purchase and can be enjoyed on a picnic blanket on the lawn or in our cozy cellar door. Or why not try a self guided food and wine flight where each local produce is paired with a Kalleske wine. Out the back you can find games like Quoits to entertain the kids whilst being surround by a beautiful garden. Come enjoy our wines and learn the rich history that went into making them. In South Australia's Barossa Valley, the Kalleske family have been farming and growing grapes since 1853 near the village of Greenock. They are one of the region's leading grape-growing families consistently growing some of the Barossa's best quality grapes. After six generations of growing grapes, winemaker and seventh generation family member, Troy Kalleske, together with his brother Tony, established the Kalleske winery and made the first 'Kalleske' wine. The vineyard is low yielding with grapes grown organically and biodynamically and the winery is also certified biodynamic/organic. The Kalleske family are active practitioners of sustainable farming. They are caretakers of the land and not only want to maintain the environment but improve it for future generations. All Kalleske wines are estate grown and vinified with minimalist winemaking techniques used to fully capture the essence of the vineyard allowing genuine handmade estate wines to be produced. The range is a diverse mix of wines that showcases the splendid Kalleske grapes. Wines from Kalleske have been seven generations in the making, but they are certainly worth the wait!

My wife and I have been enjoying the Lorraine wine for some years, so we called in last month to find the impossible. A red wine I would enjoy.
I couldn't quite explain what I wanted but [the knowledgeable] Cameron was able to read my mind.
He patiently eliminated my dislikes and struck gold!
Buckboard is my nectar of the Gods.
Thank you, Cam, and thank you Kalleske.

A delightful experience. To sit with the winemaker Joe filled with passion and knowledge who sustainably creates a wonderful product is just fabulous. It is heart warming to see a small producer doing what he loves . Well worth the trip . Tim from cellar door tours introduced us to this gem of a boutique winery ,

Loved this winery. Jayson was really generous with his time and the wines were absolutely delicious. Definitely worth adding to your list if you can get a booking. It was our favourite discovery on our Barossa Wine tour with Sofia.

I had the pleasure or receiving a birthday gift voucher for two at Food Luddite. As often is the case with a voucher it expired in next to no time but Mark was gracious enough to extend the time limit.
So we set off for Greenock for a cooking experience with open minds. We were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves among good people for 4 hours.
Along the way we learned new techniques on how to slice, roast, bruise and tie an assortment of herbs and spices. We also got tips on selecting quality brands products and where to go to source special ingredients.
The whole exercise culminated in a delicious shared lunch with a nice glass of Barossa Rose to savour. So if you have 4 hours to spare on a Sunday afternoon, treat yourself to a cooking experience with Mark McNsmara and Jo-Anne.
