Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is an excellent small museum with amazing stories well presented. Its spectacular centrepiece is the skeleton of "Old Tom", an orca who was the leader of a pack of orcas who frequented Twofold Bay, the body of water beside which Eden sits.

The story of "Old Tom" and his pod, its role in the whaling industry in Twofold Bay and the role of similar pods with both earlier colonists and local indigenous people is amazing. The museum presents it so very well.

There are many exhibits that fill out the history of the whaling industry in this area but also the histories of logging, the other major industry in the early days of Eden, and other maritime pursuits, fishing and transport. There's even a good exhibit from the local football (soccer) club the Eden Killer Whales that explains the club' colours, black and white. It's not hard to guess.

A visit to this museum is a highlight of any visit to Eden. It's an inexpensive, very instructive, fascinating use of 2 to 4 hours of your time.

Views from lookout are stunning. Didn't enter the lighthouse precinct but you walk right along side it to reach the lookout. Quite a drive out there but combined with visits to other areas in the NP its worth doing.

The signposting for the Eden Tourist Information centre was fantastic. You couldn’t miss it. It is in a great location right on the wharf and the help and information we received from a fifth generation local was probably the best we’ve received from any tourist centre worldwide. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about her home town of Eden. We really loved Eden too!

This place is very hard to access during high tide. Make sure you’re at low tide. Then you’re in a world of sea slugs, starfish, anemones, small fish, etc. if you’re lucky and look into the ocean, then seals, dolphins, and whales. The geology is also spectacular!
    Don’t miss!

Kudos to PARK TREK who organised this trip from start to finish. Transport, meals accommodation and guides all sorted, which made the whole walk enjoyable with nothing to worry about, except to just relax, and take in the wonders of nature, history of the area and its Indigenous people, and the fascinating early Australian whaling industry!

This is our first visit to Ben Boyd Tower. We visited the attraction on a recent short break in Eden. It is an easy drive from Eden with a small section of gravel road to the entrance and carpark. The walkways and viewing platforms look like the area has been recently upgraded and they have done a really good job. Also, while in the area we visited the Naval Wharf area and jetty, which was open on the day. This was a very interesting discovery and well worth a visit if it is open on the day you are visiting. The viewing areas at the Ben Boyd Tower Reserve give panoramic views of the coastline. The Tower itself is an interesting structure and you can go inside and look up at what were the various floor areas, as the timbers are still in existence. It is a short walk from the carpark to the Boyd Tower and viewing platforms.

Lookout is right beside carpark, that is immediately off main road in to Green Cape area of Ben Boyd NP. Access for all abilities. One of the best beach coastal views along the south coast.

Yes, Rotary Park was great at sunset. The view was lovely too, but to see the sun go down and the wallabies was great

Extremely good information on Aboriginal history. Very sad but important to learn. Scenery was also nice. Highly recommend
