Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Rottnest Island is beautiful, calm and photogenic. Every one arrives to this island happy, joyful, relaxing and fun. Little did we know the island's dark history and sad stories. The lady in the museum told us the things happened in the past and the knowledge makes the island more meaningful to visit. November is the month for the breeding of bush flies. They just surround us and poke into our eyes, nostril and mouth for moisture. The quokkas are friendly and cute.

Overall amazing day swam at several beaches and hired electric bikes so we could go all the way to the west end. However seeing the quokkas so close with human interaction made me constantly nervous. More needs to be done keeping people in line on bikes especially around dusk all the quokkas were out and I witnessed atleast twice quokkas nearly being ran over by teenage boys on bikes without a light going at ridiculous speeds through the dark in busy areas. It’s a matter of time before quokkas are killed

Breathtaking views, chilled out vibe and generally a great place to stop and picnic while you’re cycling around Rottness

We were taken around what is left (quite a lot!) of this gun battery by a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteer. It's quite a trek up and down the corridors and tunnels, but definitely worth it. Gave a very good idea of what life must have been like for the men who had to man these guns in wartime.

This island is really cool to visit if you are anywhere near it during your travels! We rented bikes and ride around the island, stopping at all the beautiful beach spots. We also went skydiving while there. The quokkas are adorable and this is the only place in the world that you can see them.

Porpoise Bay is a large bay and beach area just to the east of Parker Point and one of the first stops on the bus trip around Rottnest. It is well worth a stop as this was a pleasant place for a swim and walk.

Harriet gave us a great tour of the settlement. She ensured that the Segway training was safely completed in a friendly way and then took us out to see the sights and the quokkas. Highly recommend a Segway tour as a great way to get your bearings.

What an incredible rush! This was my second skydive (after Noosa in 2000) and was even better than I remembered! At 15,000ft, you have amazing air-time and can appreciate all the fantastic views as well as experiencing the exhilarating rush of jumping out a plane and careering towards a stunning island. This was my partner's first time - needless to say, he can't wait to do it again! Many thanks to the team of excellent instructors and flight crew. An efficient and professional outfit all round. Highly recommend it :)

This is a great way to see some of the island and to learn about the history of the islands. There is a huge solar energy farm along the way up to the Oliver Hill Gunnery where we were given an informative talk and tour of the tunnels. Well worth the trip.

Recently we travelled by train to the Oliver Hill battery on Rottnest Island, walking back to the settlement. We were mistakenly overcharged. On contacting Quokka Coach Tours the matter was resolved very quickly with an offer of a return train trip plus tour. We were impressed with the efficient handling of this matter and will certainly use this trip on our return to Rottnest in a couple of weeks. Thank you to those involved and your professional attitude. Max and Barb

Wow! What a fantastic experience. The great Seatoys Team had me zooming through the water in just minutes. I was able to see the reef effortlessly and saw a massive variety of fish and coral and I even saw a giant green sea turtle graciously swimming through the water. I would certainly recommend to everyone travelling to the Ningaloo.
