Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- BradHong Kong, China175,372 contributionsThere are a handful of interesting hikes you can attempt within Kalbarri National Park including the popular Loop and Z Bend Trails.
The Loop Trail is located near the iconic Nature's Window. This is a challenging 9km loop trail that takes a few hours but takes you through remarkable landscape along the rim of the Murchison River before descending down into the gorge where you walk several km along its shoreline and cliffs. During the spring, the trail was lined with beautiful flowers. We found kangaroos and lots of birdlife in the gorge as well.
The Z Bend trail is located at the carpark around 8 km south. There are a couple of trails here including a short and easy 1.2 km out-in-back walk to a nice viewpoint into the Murchison Gorge. There is a separate and longer trail down to the river that is around 2.6 km but it was closed during our visit due to recent rains and river level.
We really enjoyed the Loop Trail finding it a moderately challenging and overall quality hike if this is something you are looking to do in Kalbarri. Even during winter, best to start early as it still gets rather hot down in the gorge. The Z Bend Lookout trail is very easy and accessible for any and everyone, worth doing if you want to get out and walk about and take in nice viewpoints into the gorges of Kalbarri.Written 9 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You'll find a carpark along with trail sign information, including the 8 km (one-way) Bigurda track south to Natural Bridge.
There are excellent views of the red cliffs meeting the sea at Eagle Gorge. You'll also find a short walk down to the beach below for those interested. It is a nice stop to make for sea views and a bit of whale watching. We saw several humpbacks breaching in the distance. Have a pair of binoculars handy.Written 11 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Claire G4 contributionsSuch an awesome day. Beautiful views and such a unique way to see this part of the national park and Jason was a brilliant host. It was a great family adventure for our 10 and 14 year olds too. Breakfast was exceptional - not just in it's taste but also in it's efficiency!! Despite a last minute date change due to low numbers on the day we had originally booked, the company were so helpful and let us know in enough time to reschedule our plans and still make all our activities work out. - 4u2cSydney27 contributionsDo yourself a favour and take this tour.
Davo picked us up at the visitor centre in a 4WD bus which we needed for the private access road.
We hiked down a rocky path to the river, once at the bottom and walked across a rocky and sandy bank to the canoes.
Once given your life jacket and paddle, we paddled 3 klm down the river and then returned .
The scenery was amazing.
Once back at the bank we had some BYO snacks and water before our climb out.
The climb out was a different route up a running waterfall. Due to the recent rain it was lovely to see it flowing.
It was definitely a team effort getting up some of the rock walls but doable and safe.
We would highly recommend this tour whist in Kalbarri and one of our highlights.
Davo was knowledgeable and informative and adamant about taking enough water for your tour.
He ensured every one of all ages enjoyed the experience.Written 3 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
