Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Chris BPerth, Australia34 contributionsFamily we went with had been twice previously and were pleasantly surprised by the new additions to some of the exhibits.
We were very fortunate to chat with one of the girls working in the marine section who was supervising the tank clean. She gave our crew a very informative run down of all things happening in that main tank, especially everyone’s favourite Miley the lobster. She happily answered all our questions, including the commentary from our spellbound kids.
Personally I really enjoyed the history of the special op’s behind enemy lines in WW2 and the record of the shipwrecked sailors.
The ex-service bus, marine tanks, draw your own fish and reptile area were our kids’ favourites. Didn’t buy anything from the gift shop of the cafe. Did get some handy pamphlets and a map which I would recommend grabbing first day on your exmouth visit.Written 23 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Perin P6 contributionsWe had a series of massages booked for the family and all of us had a very relaxing and tranquil experience. Harriet was a lovely and helpful hostess and our therapists Pablo and Thi gave us each a massage that was tailored to our individual needs. My shoulders have not felt this good for a long time and I'm so glad we took a morning off the "holiday" to relax a bit more.Written 18 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
