Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As magical as I remember it from 2003!

To die for crystal clear waters and magical marine life.

Easy drive out from town on sealed roads.

    Bathrooms on site.

Fabulous snorkelling area just off the sandy beach. Many fish and turtles to swim with. Mostly sandy bottom with some coral out crops and weed.

We visited this beach for a few hours in October 2 other couples were also there, the wind was a but of a problem and there was a deep decent when walking into the water apart from that the beach was beautiful and easy to get too.

We recently spent a few nights in Exmouth and enjoyed exploring the Ningaloo Coastline, array of beautiful sandy beaches, shallow turquoise coloured waters as well as the remarkable arid landscape and gorges of the Cape Range National Park.

This is a great area for lazy days at the beach, snorkelling as well as scenic drives and hiking around Mandu Mandu, Yardie Creek and the Charles Knife Drive area. A shout out for the small town of Exmouth as well for the very good breweries, restaurants and general setup there for hosting travellers seeking to spend time visiting this unique location in WA.

We visited Sandy bay to make a change from Turquoise Bay.

That was a good idea. This is a fantastic beach.

I don't think I have ever seen such an expanse of clear aquamarine water anywhere in the world.

It was also protected from waves by a reef.

It's a wonder of the world in my opinion

This beach, north of Exmouth, can be reached by continuing on Murat Rd at the intersection with Yardie Creek Rd. Turning right just before the Naval Communication Station, the road reaches the coast. Going south you reach the boat Ramp, while towards the north there is a large car park. Here you will find toilets and showers as well as a café with outdoor tables. The beach is beautiful, with clear water and coral reefs very close, although obviously the conditions depend on the direction of the wind (here unfavorable if it blows from the east). We swam and snorkelled, but you have to be careful with the boats. For boats put to sea or recovered at the boat ramp there is in fact a channel that runs along the beach and the exit towards the open sea is marked by the red and green buoys you can see a hundred meters north of the café. The more than 300 m high antennas of the Naval Communication Station near the beach are impressive. A pleasant way to spend a few hours on the beach not far from Exmouth.

This is a conveniently located beach just east of the town centre of Exmouth that is quite accessible if you are looking for a stretch of sand closer to town instead of heading all the way out to the Ningaloo coast. The sand is pretty good and swimming conditions seemed to be pretty good as well. Saw a handful of fisherman were plugging the shore as well.

You'll find public toilets, grassy BBQ and leisure area. There was a Thai food truck on hand when we visited. A fair amount of paved parking while quite a few seem to drive directly down to the beach to park as well. It is a good little beach in Exmouth.

Sitting on the sands of this gorgeous beach you will see turtles swimming in the water before you. As one of the most valuable turtle nesting sites, at night you can watch turtles come ashore to dig their nests and lay eggs. A truly magical place.

    Great for fishing and swimming.
It may be little bit of a hike over the dunes but is totally worth it for the view.
