As the title says, we got to see three whales at once, including a calf! The crew were lovely too, and the day couldn't have gone better!

Perfectly organised trip. We felt safe and looked after from the start. Even though I was sea sick, they made sure I got in the water to swim with the whale shark. 5 star company

This was one of the best day trips we have ever done- we were treated to an amazing Ningaloo snorkelling experience. We were able to spend time in the water with two amazing whale sharks - such an incredible experience. We also saw whales up close, as well a wide range of other marine life in the crystal clear Ningaloo waters. The team were really experienced, friendly and professional and ensured that a wonderful time was had by our entire family. Thank you - we will be back.

The eco tour was so incredible! Got lucky enough to see a whale shark in September and enjoy some beautiful snorkelling as well as being surrounded by whales! The team were incredible and clear with their instructions and made us feel super comfortable! They also took heaps of pics and really made the day spectacular!

We had the most fantastic trip last week, kayaking during the day and camping on the beach each night. I was initially very nervous about the kayaking and the logistics of taking all our gear, keeping it dry etc. But it soon became very easy. Neri, our guide, was absolutely brilliant. She is extremely experienced, put us all at ease, kept us safe and happy, was very knowledgable and accommodating, cooked us delicious meals and worked extremely hard day and night to make it all run smoothly and seamlessly. We had a wonderful time and are very grateful.

Crew was so friendly, helpful and welcoming for the entire day. We swam with three different whale sharks multiple times, saw turtles and stingrays and so many beautiful rainbow fish. The food was great and the photos post-trip were amazing as a memory of the day!

I had the best experience with the crew on 'Shack'!
Tyler, the Skipper was fun and professional which made the days even more enjoyable & fun.
Sara W, my dive instructor was a great teacher. Adept at diving and able to pass on her knowledge in a fun environment whilst keeping her students safe. Providing her students with the skills to explore the ocean depths safely and all with a smile on her face.

This tour company was recommended by friends who had had a wonderful experience with this team, so we were keen to use Murray (the captain of the 40-ft vessel, ‘Wave Rider’) and his crew for our adventure. Katie was our tour guide, Tash our photographer, and Jen our deck hand were all smiling, positive, attentive people whose entire focus was keeping us and the marine life safe and us having the best time possible while doing it. AND all three women are marine biologists, so they know their stuff (and were smiling and measured in their responses when guests tried to insist on the correct naming of a particular animal). Live Ningaloo is also big on regenerative tourism - leaving a place better than you found it. This is why they also offer the option for guests to pay for a carbon offset for their ‘seat’ or participation in the tour. To me, this was a no brainer easy ‘yes’.

Having a maximum of 10 guests per tour meant that we all got to be in the water each time a whale shark was spotted; not having to go turn about which the other tours had to do with their groups of 20 was a gift. And on the day we went out, we got to swim 4 times with the whale shark, which was awesome (and it was the same animal each time, which could be determined by its behaviour outlined below).

What made this experience so amazing was the playfulness of this one particular whale shark. Katie had clearly explained procedures in our briefing, and we were all set to form our single file line in the water ready to swim alongside the whale shark as it floated past, never in front - tour swimmers are instructed never to impact on the natural behaviour of the whale shark, including being in their way when they are swimming so that they would have to divert to avoid us. Got it, stay out of the way of the whale shark, be a stealthy observer. We were set. The only thing was, no one gave the memo to the whale shark. Instead of the beast swimming in a straight line and the various tour groups taking turns getting in on the side by side action, this whale shark was circling, which meant swimmers were constantly trying to get out of its way. It was like the whale shark was intrigued by the bubbles generated by our fins as we tried to avoid it and was following these in play. And this happened each of the four times we got in water. It was hilarious and one of the most wonderful wildlife encounters of our lives.

We enjoyed two snorkels inside the lagoon, the first was at the beginning of the tour at Posiedon’s Garden and the second was at the end of the tour after lunch (delicious, by the way). During the snorkel time, there was an abundance of sightings of different sea life, including an endangered wedgefish, which was very exciting! While on board, we also saw turtles, humpback whales, dolphins and dugongs. I cannot imagine a more perfect day, and it’s one that I will remember for the rest of my life.

Not sure where to start on this review.. Firstly would not recommend this Charter operation as it is run down and the staff don't give a crap about the customers experience. I do want to give a shout out to Sam the deckhand that was the only staff member that help out our experience.

From the start there was clearly no communication from management to the skipper, we spend over 2 hours arguing over the 2 fish pro skis which had been pre organized on our end. After that issue we then found out the jet boat was not in commission and we only had a small boat and a tiny to use. Lucky we kicked up a stink about the skis!

Amongst a ton of maintenance issue clearly needed on all of Montebello Island Safaris vessels, clearly this is a profit based operation. We were also let down heavily on the food with one day being frozen rolls chunk meat and pot of gravy.

On the last day the lead deckhand refused to take us out on the boat because he wanted to go spearing and argued with the skipper in front of everyone. We even had to fuel up the boat ourself.

We also had to fillet and process most of the catch ourselves and on the last day not one of the staff helped process fish. Now for paying almost 4k each this is not a charter in my books.

I could rant on for ages but that will do. Please be aware when booking this charter company.
