Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Mark GCatonsville, MDThe Wagner Vineyard Complex is quite impressive with their winery, brewery, restaurant and gift shop all overlooking beautiful Seneca Lake thru out their beautifully landscaped grounds.
Wagner produces around 30 different wines, has tastings and tours and a gift shop where we purchased a fine semi dry Riesling and a fruitier Cayuga White.Written 30 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is not on the routes of the tour buses, so it was much quieter, more peaceful and relaxing than many of the busier vineyards on the tour routes. We found the wine quality to be of a higher quality, and there was time to chat with the server. The views are excellentWritten 8 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Doug WLittleton, COGood wines and great service with a nice view of the lake. Second visit to the winery and we enjoyed it both times.
The owner, Shannon, is very knowledgeable and shares the story about the wines and winery in a very engaging way. Our visits were a year apart on two different trips to the area. Both were top-notch experiences and we took several bottles home with us each time.
The wines labeled “Good Earth”, both red and white, are very good. We highly recommend a visit.Written 24 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - m8kupreneeWashington DC, DCRed wine lovers your search is over. In an area full of German and Austrian white wines.. behold the bold reds . A small family owned and run winery located on the Seneca side . Small groups of 4 are preferred with seated tastings . The brother and sister duo did a fantastic job .Written 7 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mark GCatonsville, MDAs part of the Wagner complex, the Wagner Valley Brewing Company offers tours and tastings offering a nice variety of good beers with great names like Sled Dog and Frostbelt. Flights are $8 for 4 beers with a deck with a view for the ages over Seneca Lake. One thing I loved was that they had a flight for kids, something I had never seen before. It consisted of root beer, grape juice, lemonade and popcorn. They also had a little area discussing the history and general info as they are said to be the 1st craft brewery on Seneca Lake. They also some light food available. Normally closing at 5, they stay open thank goodness, until 9:30 from Memorial Day to Labor Day.Written 30 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - vtpsuPhiladelphia, PAThis was the first time we've ever been to a church that was concerted into a wine tasting room. The owner was so nice and shared some of the history with us. The wines were good and it was very cool to see the stain glass windows and old flooring.Written 26 October 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - This was a beautiful winery & we wanted to stop & try the advertised mimosas! They were a couple that were VERY GOOD! As well as the spirit tasting! I found 3 or more different bottles to leave with lol! The gentleman helping us was knowledgeable about what he was serving which also helped make decisions! AMAZING VIEWS WHILE DRINKING!!! I will definitely return to this place!Written 30 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Chris BRedding, CTI have been whining for years about the lack of food options in this amazing wine region. [And I am sure there is a joke there if I wasnt so lazy.. ] But back to the review. This is a very cozy and worthwhile stop on the trail. had 3 dishes and completely happy on all 3. The wine was good and I would absolutley recommend the riesling which was dry and the bordeux style red was quite good. We walked out with a case. The proprietors are wonderful and I will be a regular so you can probably find me here on a sunny fall weekend as long as their season lasts.Written 8 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - michaelpatrickmillsRochester, NYWe stopped in for a chocolate taste along the Seneca Lake wine trail and were thrilled to find something completely original and a break from the wine tasting norm. The owner - Claire - is charming, welcoming and clearly passion about her craft (which isn't just chocolate making, try one of her amazing cocktails!). Really unique atmosphere in a little tasting room with deck, cool décor and GREAT chocolate. All reasonably priced and a nice break in a typical wine tasting day!Written 1 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kathy PNiagara Falls, CanadaCame across this winery while we were touring vineyards on each side of Seneca Lake. A winery for me [with many choices of wine from dry to sweet] and a brewery for my husband. There is also a restaurant on-site. The view on a good day is fabulous. Enjoyed the patio, but inside options are also available during cold weather.
