Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- truckinchickBatavia, NY183 contributionsGreat information tour. Our tour guide shared a well told story and kept the tour moving but not too fast. Liked the video in the building next to the carriage house. Beautiful location and great history. As a farm kid I liked hearing about how they first used drainage tile to improve wheat yields. Great 1-2hr stop - nice bathrooms!Written 7 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Doris PPhiladelphia, PA103 contributionsThe most stunning views of the Grotto trail dogs are not allowed, so my comments may be jaded. We also were here on holiday weekend, very crowded. We did the Rim trail which was pleasant & away from the crowds but limited views.Written 6 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ginger B ROswego, NY534 contributionsWell this is a lovely place. I have been here for the wine tasting and just for a nice night out, as they have two bars on premises. They also have a very nice gift shop. Worth a visit!Written 26 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Linda BRaleigh, NC2,201 contributionsStroll along the Main Street of Geneva and see the various styles of homes along the way. You can pick up a map at the historical center on Main Street which describes the houses you will pass.Written 8 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JoeKupeVictor, NY791 contributionsRavines Wine Cellars is not your typical Finger Lakes winery as there is no view of the lake (Seneca Lake in this case), but do not let this minor detail stop you from visiting as the wines are excellent and the staff well educated. Our sommelier for the day was Amy, and she was a wealth of knowledge about the winery, the wines, the Finger Lakes and more. We pre-booked the five wine tasting for $15 prior to arrival and while there added a bag of the Hedonist Ravines Chocolate & Wine Pairing Truffles to complement our tasting; the chocolates were loved by all! We tried a variety of wines from sweet to dry to dessert wines and appreciated the time they spent with us to explain what was different about each of the wines.
We spent close to two hours on the visit and upon readying to leave two members of our party purchased four bottles of wine and a Ravines club membership. Each membership includes free tastings for four folks on each visit, so yes, you guessed, we will be visiting again and look forward to different tastings and exploring their food menu too.Written 14 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JoeKupeVictor, NY791 contributionsWe have had Zugibe wines before and friends had been to a wedding at the winery so we knew it was a place we wanted to visit. It was a perfect autumn afternoon in Western New York for our visit and we shared good wine and good food with special friends. Tastings are five for ten dollars and the attached Mediterranean restaurant is also very fairly priced. We tried several wines and our favorites were the Gruner Veltliner and Semi-Dry Riesling. From the bistro we enjoyed the cheese board featuring delicious cheese from local creamery Muranda, and we also shared the Greek Pizza. We had a wonderful day and even said we would love to come back and sip wine on the porch while enjoying a good book!Written 10 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
