... easy stroll in the afternoon or cultural expeditions as the La Chascona (Pablo Neruda's Santiago house), the Cerro San Cristobal including the old Funicular and many other sights are located right in this area.
The cable car to go up the mountain is in Bellavista which makes a nice trip to the statue amd if bright skies a good view on Santiago.
