What travellers are saying
- Jeff R3 contributionsUsed Wayzata Bay Charters for a small wedding reception for our children and significant others. Had a great experience Captain Aaron and Steward Joshua were extremely service oriented - First Class Service - took pictures from their "upper" deck advantage - and emailed them to us (Had no idea they were even doing it). Mark - one of the owners - was very flexible and helpful - as was Kevin who helped make all the arrangements - great memories made with the help of WBC!!!!Written 3 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Katherine MMinneapolis, MN4 contributionsStaff was friendly & the ride was smooth-older boat so be prepared for some funky smells with carpet, etc. It was a rainy day so we couldn’t see much.Written 27 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Steven SSaint Louis Park, Minnesota1,040 contributionsOur group chartered the boat for a weekday cruise. Normally, the public cruises are only on weekends. The Minnehaha is a restored 1906 streetcar boat operated by volunteers. Passengers can watch the exposed engine in the center of the boat. According to one volunteer, the current engine is a 1930's engine similar to what a boat would have had in 1906. The boat does have a bathroom. In good weather, the staff opens the windows offering an amazing view of the lake. There is also space for passengers on top for those who don't mind being exposed to the weather. Eat before or after your cruise, since food and drinks are not allowed on the boat. There are a number of restaurants in Excelsior, the main starting point. Some cruises also begin in Wayzata.Written 11 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- packerbeer124 contributionsStopped here while in passing. Was reasonable admission. Learned about the streetcars and the history. They did provide a short ride on the trolley. This place is doing what they can to keep the memory and history of the street car alive. It is a small organization and rely on donations and volunteers. Those that are there you can tell that they do really care about the trolleys and want to see the organization survive. Fun place to spend a half and hour.Written 5 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
