Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Noah WRoyal Oak, MI4 contributionsI will say that this is my home hill while skiing during the winter. I will preface that this is more of a ski area with a golf course and not a ski resort. I don't personally golf, so I will judge it based off of the skiing. The terrain and the amount of runs can be fun when it is not crowded and if you arrive on the early side. There's plenty of runs for each skill level. That said, later on the crowds start to fill up because the ski area only has 34 runs listed. The plus side is that Caberfae is refreshingly affordable and old school. As for the hotel, don't expect it to be a resort hotel, even though it's spruced up recently with a bar/restaurant and a few pubs.Written 18 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Perrysburg68Lansing, MI213 contributionsLooks to be a great future location for a vacation. Camp is clean and nicely set up and the views of the water from the beach were great.Written 7 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - dbaumanLoudon, TN252 contributionsCamping in the Huron-Manistee National Forest was heaven sent! It’s remote, quiet, private and beautiful with large sites for RV’s or tents. No electric or water hookups. Situated along Lake Michigan it’s just a short walk to the sandy beach. There are four loops of camping, three of which can be reserved in advance with the fourth on a first come first served basis. Access the camping west off M-31 north of Ludington, Mi. And south of Manistee, Mi.Written 9 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Cheryl MCoventry, CT100 contributionsBeautifully-designated space for exploring sound & nature. The Sound Garden was easy to find and parking was plentiful, albeit a slight walk (before the entrance). Access was facilitated by a path & bridge along the lake. The views are lovely. The crosswalk is no longer well-marked and could be safer with stronger markings & signage with flashing light to remind motorists to slow down. And this is a School Zone, too! The plaques are missing and some of the equipment is worn, missing, or damaged. The gardens are beautiful, but the composter needs updating. We love the concept and recommend refreshing the garden with student and community volunteers and a fundraiser if needed.Written 3 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EvansthecatMadison, WI140 contributionsMy husband and I were in town art fair weekend for his high school reunion. We started our married life 44 years ago in Cadillac and the waterfront park was always a place we loved to be in. Great place to walk and listen to concerts. Plus the annual art fair has always been a quality event. Each time we visit, improvements have been made. New, very clean bathrooms this time, and the roof over the Shay locomotive had been raised, making it easier to take pictures. And the new farmer's market? Such a cute building full of tasty and beautiful things. Congrats Cadillac. You are doing everything right.Written 21 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Cheryl MCoventry, CT100 contributionsBig little market with lots of crafting vendors, quite a few snack and dessert vendors, and not quite enough food trucks or meal vendors. We enjoyed the cookies, teas, and the unique hand decorated items. There was a lot of jewelry which makes for nice gifts, but may not appeal to everyone. Love the location under a pavilion but open to the air. Parking was convenient.Written 3 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - dambankerToronto, Canada1,807 contributionsHad a brief stay in town, as I am always on the lookout for unusual items I found this looking at google maps. I then read the story behind it on the website. As I love music and Kiss (the band) as well I had to see this. Best thing was it is free and easily accessible at any time. Apparently the diehard Kiss fans already know about this so it's a good place to stop for read and photo. I could certainly appreciate the excitement that Kiss visiting this small town in 1975 would have made. Even though it was obviously one of Gene Simmons early PR stunts I likely what they did and even more so to learn that they still keep in contact with some of the residents from here. Great story and I enjoyed stopping here.Written 26 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- S. JohnstonDarien, IL188 contributionsWe discovered that the Wex had open skate from 2 to 4. It cost $3 per person for 2 hours of skating and rental skates included. There was a concession stand with fairly priced foods. Inside the rink there was a decent crowd. The Wex provided buckets for those who are learning to skate. It was plenty of fun for the family and spent the whole 2 hours there.Written 31 December 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - seescokidGrand Rapids, MI3,343 contributionsPlay the front nine here for years ago with my brother-in-law and another buddy and was pretty impressed so he finally came back the wife and I October 18, 2023 breezy cool but the foliage was perfect. Course is in great shape aerated the greens were all true probably the biggest greens I’ve ever played Ever nice ampullae wide fairways biggest challenge. Here’s all the swamp carries lots and lots of them but yeah we had a great time but around on golf in our tee off for $77 total for two of us so I’m charging 50 some odd dollars in the fall for seniors week Dave quit step I think for the scores up in this neck of the woods.
The biggest complaint I would have I’m not really a complaint it’s not their fault, but they built a course for use of accessibility right off the highway. You can hear the highway noise all the way throughout the whole course. Some people probably would not bother but you do not have the serenity like you do off the beaten path, but yeah, this is a Phoen Course great shape be ready to get that ball up in the air and carry over to lakes and swamps and we’re gonna have a French dip sandwich here at the clubhouse big huge restaurant Silverado’s give it a shot onceWritten 18 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The mini golf course was challenging, but not too challenging, d6o it was fun for our whole family; from 7 to 70. We also enjoyed the go carts. A fun afternoon.Written 25 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
