The entire visit was net, except the three people at the top. I would think they would be more knowledgeable. Also, pass on buying the old Christmas ornaments at $20 you can get them online for $15.

The ride up to the top is super fast and free! The information person was very nice. I wish they had placards for kids to read and understand things, for instance why they have the two chambers. You don’t need much time under an hour will do, but we’ll worth the trip! You can see part of the tower of the old state capital from the top. I wish they would repair the mural at the top. It has chucks of plaster that has come off. Neat picture moment.

I wish they had a patch for scouts that would have the capital building and state capital Baton Rouge on it. Also, new ornaments to sell.

My 10 year old son really enjoyed climbing the ladders inside the ship, moving the guns, laying down in the cots, and seeing the toilets. Though the tour is self-guided, there is a well marked path and many informative signs to explain things. The information inside the building was interesting, esp the fact that it's not really related to Captain William Kidd, but they allowed many references to him on the ship.

Don't miss the often overlooked history video of the building (lights & surround sound spectacular) $2 at the information counter. The interior is very Harry Potteresq and worth looking into every open available room stuffed with the history of Louisiana.

Snuck in during June afternoon. Great place. Renovating one side - upper deck. Stadium is HUGE! Even though it was June, field was immaculate.

A great nature center with easy to walk trails and boardwalks using a good free map. Not very exciting but we did see turtles, various butterflies and birds and handled a baby alligator in the Nature Center itself.
    Very peaceful.

I cannot believe I’ve never been to this museum all the times I visited family in the area. It’s my favorite thing I have ever experienced in Baton Rouge (besides eating great food).

Inside exhibits were interesting but the highlight is the historical buildings and the Windrush Gardens nearby.

Mike, the LSU mascot, has a multimillion dollar habitat. When we were there, he walked along in front of the glass viewing windows, waded though his pool by the glass windows, and then laid down right in front of us. He is a large, impressive cat.

We arrived just too late for the guided tour.
Watched a couple of interesting films on architecture of Louisiana and the house itself.
Computers were down so free of charge!
Wandered around using the self-guide leaflets, which were slightly confusing as there were two of them with different numbers for the same places, but we worked it out.
All brilliantly preserved and very calm.

Took my grandchildren for their birthday this past weekend. This was our first visit and we loved it. While a large portion is being renovated the kids still had a wonderful time. We appreciated the passes to return in the futurem and look forward to the new exhibits. The tiger exhibit was beautiful and the kids enjoyed the playground and petting zoo.

nice atmosphere and good food. Beautiful view of the river. The only negative were the un-ironed napkins that made the table look trashy.

Louisiana Science and Art Museum was an amazing place! They feature many exhibits, including a display of different planets that allow you to see your weight on each planet, a display of lasers and how they can affect you, a display of the ancient Egyptians and the different aspects of their culture, etc. My personal favorites are the mummy exhibit and exhibit on dinosaurs and their different discovered fossils. Overall, I enjoyed my experience. The workers are very friendly and admission into the museum was quick and easy. Overall, it was great!
