Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our guide was Daniel and he was wonderful!! Fun and knowledgeable. Highlights include petting the mares and watching them run on the track at Keeneland! Learned so much about horses, racing and the history of KY. Not sure where it might mention it, but there is quite a bit of walking. Something to keep in mind if someone has trouble with that.

This tour was FANTASTIC!!! There were 6 of us on the tour with Jeff as our guide. He was amazing! My dad uses a cane to help walk and Jeff made sure my dad didn't miss a thing! We visited 4 horse farms and learned so much about racing and breeding and training the most beautiful horses. One of the farms was a rescue farm. That was very cool! Jeff shared so much of his knowledge and experiences with us. He truly made this personal and engaging. Would highly recommend and plan to return for another tour!

If you're even slightly thinking this would be something you're interested in, then do it. The food was good, the tour was informative, the tour guide was great. 100% recommend!

A really beautiful home with Todd family heirlooms. Interesting history, excellent tour guides. We learned new things about Mary Todd Lincoln and her family. Worth a visit!

Had a blast with guides Hannah and Josh. Took our grandkids. Hannah was very educational and had so much fun. JOSH was full of jokes and kept us laughing through. The whole experience will definitely go again. Kids couldn’t quit talking about it for days.

I signed up for this tour to be included in my mom's 80th birthday trip, all things bluegrass. Good for many adult ages. It was just wonderful. Kaylee was a delight and truly a passionate face of Kentucky. We had delicious bites, tastings and history and just a really fun afternoon. I wish we would have gotten more "distillery" time and information, so if that's a main focus this may not be for you. This tends more to the food and tastings. You even end at the sweetest ice cream shop. Prefect for my mother. I got bourbon honey ice cream! Overall I would highly recommend this enjoyable casual (just some easy strolling) outing.

We had a great time touring the race training track and stables. It was a private tour for my wife and myself. Very informative and pleasant. Highly recommended

We had an amazing time on our tour of some distilleries in the Lexington area. We booked a private tour for two couples but the van had room for plenty more. First stop was the J Mattingly distillery on the way to Lexington. Great tour and tasting there. We then headed in to Lexington. Stopped for lunch at Wallace Station in midway, which was amazing! Hot brown burger was the best I've had. Passed the famous castle and keenland race track on the way. The next tour was the James pepper distillery in Lexington. Another great tour in an awesome historic building. Their rye is a favorite of mine so I was glad we could stop there. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the distilleries and the area. Gave us lots of recommendations for other fun stuff to do with our time. Highly recommend!!

Our guide, Zach, was enthusiastic and quite knowledgeable about the art work we viewed. We had a great time learning a bit about Lexington’s history and about the current art scene. Our tour made me want to go back to the places we visited to see and learn more! Thank you

    Hello,

My name is Eba Creel, and I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with our recent experience on the Daniel Boone Challenge tour. Unfortunately, I do not recall the name of our tour guide, but I feel compelled to share my concerns.

I purchased the tour to provide a memorable zip lining experience for my husband and children. It was my boys' first time zip lining, and I had high hopes for the event. However, the tour guide's demeanor significantly impacted our experience. Although she explained the procedures and rules, she was not approachable or engaged with our group. She assisted my son once, but I felt she lacked the enthusiasm and encouragement needed, especially when working with children. Her overall attitude was dull and unfit for the role that day.

Despite our initial excitement, the guide's behavior dampened our enjoyment. We reluctantly tipped her $10, though she did not merit it. While the challenge itself was fun, and your amenities are excellent, our experience was marred by the tour guide's poor performance.

Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback. I hope this helps improve future experiences for other guests.

    Sincerely, Eba Creel

App was good once it worked. Spent 30 minutes on phone with support. Hunt does not end where it starts. Hour walk back to vehicle. Scavenger hunt itself was fun.

The House is full of history and I learned a LOT! Nathan greeted us at the door and provided a wonderful overview. Elizabeth was incredible as well! They were both so knowledgeable and nice and the house is wonderful. So glad we visited.

This experience is so amazing. I really loved discovering the history and background behind some of Lexington's most fantastic artwork. Some pieces really made me ponder and that's perfect!

And the food... it was all sooooo good! Definitely recommend this tour whether you live in Lexington or are just visiting.
