Amazing scenery, the whole island lap is just over 17 miles you will go from beach to swap and marshland to historic, you will pass the horse stables airport, water park and go through the woods.. 5 stars all the way
If you bring your own bike park your car next to the Flash Foods and take the first trail across the street.

This is a must see stop in Jekyll Island.... great at either sunrise or sunset.... park at either Driftwood Bistro or on side of road....Clam Creek is also a great stop with some Driftwood as well.
It is fabulous to walk along and admire all of the spectacular works of Mother Nature!

I would recommend this quick trip to anyone who loves nature and likes to support organizations that loves nature too.
If you are looking for a Turtletastic Time, you only have to drive to beautiful Jekyll Island State Park, home of the Georgia Sea Turtle Center to find it.

The Great Dune Park area had plenty of parking, restrooms and even a few covered areas for small gatherings and events equipped with grills!

The Nature Center is a joint 4H Club and University of Georgia effort that facilitates study of the barrier islands and wetlands along Georgia's Atlantic coast.
They have a fantastic exhibit inside as well as a nature trail you can explore.

Good view across to Cumberland island - nice facilities to watch nature - and almost like part of driftwood Beach - only at the other end!! Well worth a visit!
The park offered a a look into my families past as my distant ancestor from Africa landed there on the slave ship!

From here, you can pier fish/clam, seek out driftwood beach, walk or ride bikes through a salt marsh and enjoy nature.
