Wonderful place to bring your lunch and enjoy nature.
Because we are older, we strolled the park slowly, but no one hurried us along and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing all these beautiful animals, in cages, but being pampered and taken care of, so well!

This park has interactive water fountains usually (which were really cool!) Free and open to the public...right on Charlotte Harbour so great sunset views.

But most of all, this long linear park with paved walk/bike paths has been preserved so we can all feast on the spectacular wide Peace River, especially the sunsets.
My favourite time is on a Thursday evening when musicians of all abilities tend to gather around the park and just jam, it makes for a great atmosphere, magic!

I LOVE going to Ponce de Leon Park, I just like to sit and watch the boats, but there's fishing as well, nature hikes, a man made beach, lots to see! Take your camera!
Nice Park and boat ramp, Peace River wildlife sanctuary is within the park, nice little spots to fish and spots or little shelters and picnic tables to get out of the sun for a few

They were having a Key Lime Festival and we had a great lunch and did some shopping after visiting the Visual Arts Center and the Hibiscus Festival at Gilchrist Park...
There are Time Share Resort units located on the second floor and a variety of fishing charters and nature cruises based on site.

My wife and I walk the length of Bayshore Road regularly and we particularly enjoy walking the paths of the Live Oak Park with its panoramic views across Charlotte Harbour.
I was pleased to find a variety of parking options, a large public fireplace, easy-walking, and beautiful water views at the Bayshore Live Oak Park.

I really enjoyed it, just a lovely typical Florida scrub and wetland nature area with a trail tucked in behind buildings and condo's.
It makes me smile every time I walk by or ride my bike or car by the park.

This is a small park with a public pool the harbor also has a nice pier that you can take beautiful pictures from.
