What travellers are saying
- Amanda A2 contributionsThe lake is beautiful and so many gators!! Alligator alley had tons of baby gators out sunning. Lots of turtles. Trail is flat and easy to walkWritten 5 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Carol Ann JGermantown, NY1,783 contributionsAs a retired technology teacher, aka industrial arts, my husband enjoys seeing Frank Lloyd Wright's work when we travel. I enjoy seeing architecture as well and love visiting college campuses. This stop was twofold. The visitor center was small; however, nice and informational. We enjoyed strolling the campus looking for all the FLW buildings which stood out among other more traditional architecture on campus. It was nice to see how everything blended.Written 14 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Carol Ann JGermantown, NY1,783 contributionsHollis Garden is a lovely garden on the shore of one of Lake Mirror in Lakeland. While strolling through the garden one may see a variety of flowers and trees, and some sculptures in the park-like setting. Along the lake there is a variety of waterfowl as well.Written 14 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Carol Ann JGermantown, NY1,783 contributionsOur experience at Morton Lake was the best surprise! We were in Lakeland to visit other sites and happened upon Morton Lake by chance. We are so glad that we did. When I spotted some birds in the area, we parked and began to walk along the lake. The homes and architecture of the buildings were lovely but the number of birds in the lake and on the shore were amazing. We saw storks galore, and the most magnificent swans! There were black swans, white swans, egrets, and other waterfowl. We were able to get within inches of some of the birds and saw swans on their nests. We are avid bird watchers where we live and yet this was an experience I will never forget.Written 14 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Road Dog 65Williston, FL45 contributionsIt is a very nice public facility. It has a nice kids playground. It has an excellent garden area. We go to the Lake Mirror Concours Car Show every year in the Fall. The Car Show does seem to be shrinking a little more every year.Written 3 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Miatracy11Winter Haven, FL34 contributionsThis museum is amazing, the art shows and exhibits they put together are one of a kind.
They are not traveling shows you can see at different art museums.
The curator and staff have a brainstormed and combined artist sculptures, illustrators that complement each other in different shows. It is a must see and it’s free to the public!!!!Written 25 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Saw a lot of wildlife along the route (more than I thought). People jogging and walking after sunset.Written 5 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- KMAinKYLexington, KY15 contributions(Now called Lakeland Antique Mall) This was a really cool place to spend a rainy day while visiting Orlando. A 45 minute drive away is worth it for historic Disney park memorabilia. Many booths with non-park antiques too. We spent about 2 hours thereWritten 16 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- DudleytravelorsLansing, MI33 contributionsAlthough more than just a park, nature center, cafe, playground, concert venue, gathering venue, botanical garden, walking trails, education center…….etc. so much to do and see. Great place to engage kids and adults. My husband and I were amazed at all Bonnet Springs has to offer! We had a cocktail and delicious nachos at the rooftop lounge which offered one of the many beautiful views. A must see when visiting - I’d be a regular if we lived in town.Written 12 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 985jaimebSarasota, FL22 contributionsWe went on a Sunday. Very quiet. No volunteers as we were told it wasn’t busy enough. My 12 yo was a bit bored as there was no interactive items, but my 55 yo hubs loved it. It took only about an hour.Written 20 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
