What travellers are saying
- cxiangWest Lafayette, IN26 contributionsWe learned a lot about how union soldiers' lives by observing their quarters, kitchens, and laundry room. The gatling gun exhibit was just super cool. We also learned about very interesting anecdotes about Amelia island; e.g. union warships shot at David Yulee's fleeing train and set it on fire.Written 28 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Michelle RGlennville, GA16 contributionsWe enjoyed our stop to the Amelia Island Museum of History. It was not the best museum we've been to, but had a lot of interesting things to see and learn about. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. Nice stop for about 45 minutes.Written 13 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Debbie T3 contributionsI used to love going there, I could get a permit and drive on the beach, Since COVID, unless you are a resident of the the county or military you cannot drive on the beach. It's ridiculous .Written 31 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- K GEssex, MA117 contributionsThis volunteer docents are enthusiastic and dedicated. One docent explained all about three large ship models he made himself! These vessels will sail in the water! Another docent gave us lots of information about underwater archaeology and the many Spanish ship wrecks that are offshore as well as treasures already found. Another docent gave us information about Amelia Island and its shipping industry. We spend two wonderful hours here. Well worth it.Written 5 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Michelle RGlennville, GA16 contributionsHas a very nice walking track, exercise stations, and you can get nice sunrise pics over the marsh once the sun is high enough.Written 13 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- mikki777Woodstock, GA549 contributionsIt's tucked in neighborhood at a gate. Only go when open or the gate is closed to the grounds. (And open is about 3 hours a week on Sat. And tours 2x a month.) The grounds are small so it seems like it would be hard to get good photos of people AND the lighthouse together.Written 12 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jayne CBoca Raton227 contributionsI purposely planned our vacation so we would be here the 2nd Saturday in May knowing that the arts and craft section would also be here.
I gVe it 5 stars even though the two booths I most wanted weren’t there. They had one last time that had large glass jars filled with dried fruits and herbs which you filled with different licquors depending on which one you got and what you were making. Last time I bought the one to make sangria and was hoping to get that again for a gift for someone’s birthday but the booth wasn’t there. I also wanted to buy preserves from Ladybug Gourmet but they weren’t there either. I looked them up and called. The owner explained that they went out of business. I explained how sorry I was as I was hoping to buy a lot for an occasion I explained to her - she said she had a lot of inventory and would bring what I wanted. She met me at the B&B we had stayed out which was so kind of her. I’m sad that a business like this had to close because of COVID. So many have failed and it’s terrible.Written 11 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - MaryelizabethScottsdale, AZ20 contributionsThe older pedestrian bridge made for a lovely walk. The view was worth the long walk on the bridge passing by all the fisherman doing their thing. It was nice to see what all they were catching too.Written 27 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Suz Travels Where The Food Is FabScottsdale, AZ132 contributionsAll dogs deserve a vacation day to play! I have been blessed with three dogs to visit this dog park and it’s our favorite! Visiting here since 2004 and love each visit. We like that we can rest assured it’s a safe place for our family.Written 11 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
