Best place to see the flora and fauna of Florida’s wetlands. Extensive network of wide and well kept elevated broadwalk trails with an occasional alcove to sit and admire the surroundings. To our disappointment, we did not see a huge array of birds perhaps in January they are not nesting yet. We saw more birds and an alligator at the nearby Wakodahatchee reserve later. The Nature Center includes a lecture hall, gift shop and live animal exhibits. We saw a cute owl, turtles, and plenty of fish. Opens from sunrise to sunset, public restrooms are available, and the parking lot is huge.

Amazing place. There's a lovely boardwalk trail right behind the visitor center, with Cyprus trees and swamp land. A few minutes away is another easy area to hike, with mile long trails through marsh and swamp. We saw lots of water type birds and heard even more. In the wet season, I'm sure there are even more animals about.

There's also the big lake, but we didn't have the time. You could easily spend a few days exploring the whole place.

Beautiful place for both fishing and beach activities. Went for some photography and ended up staying longer than expected.

I took a private tour of this zoo and was able to feel a Sloth & Kangaroo & Otters & so many cool animals. They have Camels Zebras Porcupines and so many more . I learned so much . Vanessa was an excellent Tour Guide . You could tell that she liked her job & the animals . I highly recommend this zoo but you need reservations so plan ahead !

Love it here. Great spot to hang out and have a few beers. Food available some nights, not sure of the schedule. They brew their beers on site, and they are excellent. I am a fan of the NOBO Crushable Haze. My brother likes the lighter, Boynton Blonde. Very Friendly staff.

God is truly present here at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Through the Priests, beautiful grounds and above all the amazing church, masses and homilies. You will be glad you came and blessed when you leave.

We visited in January on a warm, sunny day. There is a small car park with a display board of what visitors may see in the natural area.

The path divides and offers walking a bicycling routes. The easy to understand signs are beyond the understanding of some as the only people we saw on our walk around were two riding bikes on the foot only routes.

Walking quietly and keeping an eye on the underbrush for animal life the walk was leisurely and uninterrupted by sight of wild animal, annoying insect or bird. The only live thing besides plant life was a Zebra Longwing butterfly. I would say there were two except the first sighting was on the way in and the second sighting was on the way out so it may have been the same one!

Never the less, even without seeing wild life the topography and plants were such that it was a fascinating way to see what Florida looked like before it was manicured to look like golf courses interspersed with houses and strip malls.

Well worth an hour or less of your time, though given the scarcity of people don't wander around on your own or at night.

It’s a boat launch location but also a pretty place to walk along the water, watch the boats and enjoy the sunny weather.
