What travellers are saying
- Jeff SParker, CO25 contributionsI was nervous to go with some of the negative reviews. We took 2 adults and 3 kids night skiing 20 March 2021. It was 4-7pm. The quickdraw express and milestone lifts were open. Ticketing was easy and friendly. $20 for an adult and $10 for kids. The lines for the lift were short, maybe 5 minute max the entire evening. There are 3 blue runs with lights but we were able to ski all the accessible runs because the sun didn't set until 715pm. It was a wonderful experience for 2 of my grandkids that had never skied on a hill bigger than a beginners run. Very affordable compared to night skiing at Keystone and others. I would definitely do this again.Written 21 March 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- jma12thmanBennington, NE159 contributionsWhat. A beautiful relaxing way to spend part of the day. Beautiful weather , snow on the ground but not cold. Horses were great. The staff were all amazing. Would definitely recommend for all to experience. I'm not a big horse guy and I still loved itWritten 29 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- eddieleggeMelbourne, FL44 contributionsWe were here in mid May - being from the flatlands of Florida - what a treat to see so much scenery.
The lake itself is beautiful as well as the view of snow capped mountain tops. We obviously got there prior to the access gate being open and had to park on side of road and hike the extra mile up to the start of the trail around the lake. So I would make sure the gate is open and u can drive up to trailheads. The hike itself was not bad with exception of numerous trees had fallen across trail and yet to be cleared as well as one side of the lake had a fair amount of snow still on the trail. I also recommend a trail app as the trail is not very well marked for novices like myself. However the overall experience was phenomenal - we saw 5 moose in various locations - an eagle - and a fox. The running water was gorgeous. We also came across an old fire burning winch which was really cool as well.Written 15 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Dianne WMonument, CO4,429 contributionsThis gorgeous lake is the headwaters of the Colorado River. You can rent a boat, a kayak or a paddle boat to enjoy the lake. Plenty of seating just to relax and enjoy the view of the lake and the mountains surrounding the lake.Written 9 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Louise MCastle Rock, CO3,297 contributionsWe stopped in here after passing is on the road a few times. I tried a coconut porter that was tasty, but too heavy for a hot day, and a blueberry wheat. I ordered the blueberry wheat; while I couldn't detect a blueberry flavor, it was a tasty and refreshing wheat beer. My husband got an IPA as always.
We took the recommendation of our bartender/server and walked down the street to My Cabin Mexican Food to pick up lunch. We brought it back and ate it at the brewery along with another beer. Good times!Written 3 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - sraebaerKansas City, MO21 contributionsNew to Granby and love the library! When I hear someone recommend a book, I put it on hold on the library website, and they email me when the book is in. Even though the library is small, they can get books from other libraries. Great service!Written 20 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- C GAustin, TX91 contributionsWe did a two hour ride as part of a group. The horses were very well behaved and kid-friendly. The scenery was gorgeous. The cowboys could have been nicer. Next time we would maybe do just one hour.Written 1 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Rocco GTabernash, CO1 contributionAmazing service, they greet you at your car with a cart and free bottle water and ice. outstanding challenging golf in a pristine environment. Often overlooked by its big sister, Grand Elk is a course not to be missed. Narrow fairways and long par 3’s with lots of sand & water. You must watch your included GPS carefully. After a perfect weather front 9, the wind picked up on the back making it interesting.
They have had problems with A few of the greens after a strange warm then cold spring. Overall a great golf outing. Hole 19 for a beverage at their new outside bar area.Written 4 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Dianne R4 contributionsMy son and I had a great day of trout fishing with Rhett! He certainly fulfilled my son’s goal (who is visiting me from New Hampshire) of catching many lake trout! Rhett is a very personable young man who provided us a great day on Grand Lake. Charter with Rhett! You won’t be disappointed!Written 24 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- MizLadyPGranby, CO6 contributionsThe entry at this location is like an art gallery. Certainly more inviting than beauty magazines! Her facials are wonderful! I've had several facials done with Tonya followed by the light treatment. What a great way to spend a snowy afternoon! I followed her advice for continued care and I truly haven't had better skin in my adult life. I appreciate that she cares what is in the products she puts on my skin.
I've also been to Tonya for several waxes. She is thorough with the service and friendly and personable during the process!Written 17 November 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - MackisaladyAuburn, NY10 contributionsWe took a gamble with the forecast and we were glad we did! - jlambugaAthens, GA56 contributionsGot a recommendation from the front desk at the Gateway Inn. Just a 10 minute ride from Grand Lake. The folks are serving Cajun influenced bar food. Grilled fish tacos, mahi and the fish and chops, catfish were very good. Great view of the lake. Unexpectedly tasty food.
I recommend making the drive for lunch.Written 30 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Matt MBuhler, KS2 contributionsWe had a great morning fishing with Brad. Excellent knowledge of the lake and very personable. We had one experienced and 3 non-experienced fishers in our group and Brad very patiently guided us through the proper lures and techniques to make a catch. Fun morning with a true gentleman.Written 30 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
