What travellers are saying
- Mmerola22320 contributionsWe had an amazing day wandering around the gardens. One would never know you are in the heart of Denver as there is a peaceful solace felt. There are too many sections and unique areas to explain them all. Suffice to say there are representations of various plants/trees/climates from around the world. Flowers and trees bud/flower at various times so you are guaranteed for various colorful sights and smells. Well worth a visit!Written 24 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Doug MChesterfield, MO791 contributionsBeautiful views, unless the clouds descend to cover the mountain. Nice easy paved drive to the top. However, I ran it as part of the Mount Evans Ascent race. But that gives you even more time for better views on your way up. And if you're lucky, there will be a mountain goat waiting for you at the top!Written 2 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- James & BethHockley, TX211 contributionsThe shops close up pretty early, so don't go after 7p on a Sunday. It is a revamped train station. Very nice. The inside and chandeliers are so authentic. Beautiful interior. Make sure to stop in at the bar, brings back the old days. You really do take a step back in time.Written 27 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Manuel Portugal LageCascais, Portugal181 contributionsGreat fun and entertaining evening of sports! Go Rockies. Easy and safe entrance, very well organized.
Civil and orderly conduct and service. Good food and beverage.
Good seats throughout.
Food a bit expensive for the quality and amounts compared to the rest of the city but considering being at a ball game.
Good experience.Written 19 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - travelwi812Louisville, KY75 contributionsThis isn’t for the faint at heart, but if you want a fantastic view of the area and the ability to say you have driven the highest road in North America, this is a great choice. The road is fairly narrow and has no guard rails, so make sure you can handle this. There are very few places you can turn around on your way up. We enjoyed seeing the tundra style plants and wildlife. We saw a lot of marmots, a herd of Bighorn does, and a mountain goat. Beware: the top is COLD and windy. Wear pants and a jacket.Written 15 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Viewer11749Loveland, CO8 contributionsThis museum was in my opinion, very similar to the Field Museum in Downtown Chicago, and even so, from the outside, The Museum looks crowded in the midst of a vibrant view of Denver's City Park that overlooks Downtown from a distance. While from the inside, it is very historic and wide, met with a large atrium expanding 3 floors of attractions. All of the attractions in particular are informative and very good to see, out of the 7 I saw, my favourite was the Colorado gemstone collection which not only showcased specific metals found in Colorado mines, but went far and above with informative descriptions and origins of metals.
Overall, this museum is a very great way to spend time in Denver, especially when it comes to identifying more of the state's Natural History and World Science. I, for one will be trying to returning once per year.Written 1 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Matthew HLos Angeles, CA23 contributionsLove this museum. Incredible installations and truly crazy wonderful architecture. A funny thing to beware of: walking around inside the museum can make you a bit dizzy due to the trippy architecture.Written 8 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Tami O10 contributionsThe tour guide (Jason) was very informative and made the tour very fun! He was very good about explaining the process and why they do it the way they do.Written 29 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Michelle OMattawan, MI257 contributionsYou can’t beat the zoo for the price of admission! We spent 3+ hours touring the zoo and could easily have spent a couple more. Many of the birds were off exhibit due to the bird flu (as is the case in many other zoos) but there was still plenty to see. One feature that we haven’t seen at any other zoos was the Animal Hospital where you can view procedures happening live. We also liked how many of the animal exhibits were spread out to control crowding.Written 29 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Gwen B2 contributionsVivian provided a rich and in-depth picture of a courageous woman who never stopped being a supporter of the down-trodden, unrepresented, and under-privileged. Made me proud, and yet called me to continue to be strong and courageous in my own small corner.Written 20 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lincoln T2 contributionsThe museum has a fantastic selection of mechanical marvels to mystify one’s mind. The staff are very knowledgeable and so welcoming. You have to see the locomotive Big Boy’s humbling size up close. Hidden gem of Denver, definite must!Written 9 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Annette Susan J4 contributionsLarimer Square in slightly bigger than a city block so we were disappointed in its size. It was under construction at one end also. It's worth the time if you have extra time to just mosey around!Written 17 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- drd83Virginia135 contributionsHad an awesome time taking the tour of Empower Field and the Mile High Stadium. Was able to visit the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame, the suites, the various lounges, broadcasting booth, press box, visiting team locker room,as well as go on the field. Our tour guide was wonderful and the group that I was on the tour with were very nice. I think it's awesome that the everyday person can get the experience to see the inner workings of an NFL stadium and see what the field looks like from the best views in the house. Definitely highly recommend for any NFL or American football fan.Written 10 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- WendyDenver, CO41 contributionsThis is a great place to meet friends, walk your dog, skate, bike, etc. The outer loop is 2.7 miles, paved, and divided into walkers, skaters & bikers which allows each group to do their own thing without having to dodge each other. You have a lake to walk around, tennis courts, basketball court, etc.Written 27 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- DarylJ552Carlsbad, CA2,896 contributionsThere are four floors of exhibits depicting the history of Colorado. We spent several hours looking at the exhibits and reading about Colorado. We parked in a pay parking lot about one and a half blocks away and there is an admission charge.Written 4 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
