What travellers are saying
- Alyssa BSterling Heights, Michigan, United States8 contributionsLoved this area, you can see seals, whale watch. Very peaceful and plenty of trails to explore. I would highly recommend!Written 13 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Leah J4 contributionsGreat beach, low tide creatures, hike to hill for amazing views of ocean and harbor. I usually go there multiple times when there because so beautiful.Written 22 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Leah J4 contributionsI love this beach and so does my dog. Have to walk across river inlet so be prepared to get a bit wet. Sand dollars everywhere, miles for your pup to run, surf beach.Written 22 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- CatOcala, FL156 contributionsThis is more a local spot and you can expect to see people of all ages (clothes or not - who cares). There are no facilities and no lifeguards. You should plan carry in/carry out and consider that the trail is steep in spots. It is a beautiful location! The sand shimmers like gold to the left of the cove. Perhaps it is.Written 27 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Cynthia KWestville, IN2,946 contributionsThis is a nice stretch of Hwy 101. Freshwater, Stone & Big Lagoons are all freshwater & can be seen from 101.
We stopped at the visitor center, which was totally closed. Even the bathrooms.
There was a porch off the back where people were sitting, admiring Stone Lagoon.
Not much else to do there. If you have a boat, you could tool around the lagoons. You could fish as well.
We did drive to the Stone Lagoon picnic area, which is a one way, scary road with blind curves to a small beach. The lagoon is seen from a distance. Parking is ok, but you still have to leave the way you came. :0Written 2 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - KathrinePennsylvania434 contributionsThis is a great hike out to the historic lighthouse. It is not open all the time so be sure to check their schedule. A knowledgeable staff person was available to answer questions. You are able to climb inside the lighthouse when it is open.Written 18 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- LST2323Potsdam, NY176 contributionsThere for a day visit and to go kayaking. Plenty of parking, there is a $5 use fee and you get a stub for your dash.
I wouldn't leave any valuables in the car (true everywhere around here).
Were lots of cool birds to see.Written 15 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Cynthia KWestville, IN2,946 contributionsWhile waiting for a table at the restaurant, we walked over & checked out the viewpoint of the Harbor. There's stairs. We then settled in on a bench & soaked in the view!Written 4 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Kelli2 contributionsBe careful the stairs are not maintained very well so it is a little tricky getting out to the point, but worth it for the views!Written 30 December 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- KathrinePennsylvania434 contributionsThis was a great wine tasting room find in a small, quaint Northern CA town. Owner Don was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They have a large selection of wines and will listen as to what your preferences are, then recommend a few. The outdoor seating area was lovely for tasting since they did not do tasting indoors. We did buy a few bottles to enjoy on our trip. Thanks for a wonderful experience!Written 18 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Suspenderbar6 contributionsNice facility. Good parking rv parkingtoo. Odd location not visible from highway. Just keep going down the winding road. A good 2 hour diversion.Written 18 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- KathrinePennsylvania434 contributionsWhat a great museum with many interesting displays on Trinidad history and culture. Staff was very knowledgeable and eager to answer any and all questions. Make sure to walk around the native plant garden, it's very pretty.Written 18 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- David M3 contributionsWe were visiting with our family and an energetic dog. We has a great time. The beach is beautiful, and there was a wedding in progress.Written 8 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- chickabeegrrlElk Grove, CA2,021 contributionsWe decided to swing by the College Cove Beach after a morning of hiking at Patrick’s Point. The hike down can be steep but doable. The beach was not overly crowded. Plenty of shaded areas to sit under and watch the surf. Sand is clean and warm. Water is cold.Written 13 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Departure5640774 contributionsKayak Trinidad is the way to go. They are so competent and engaged with the water and the group. I was a first timer and more than a little nervous. I am old and out of shape. They stayed with me until I got the hang of it. Beautiful experience on the water.Written 28 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
