What travellers are saying
- freqstayerLondon, UK101 contributionsWonderful visit to FLW’s largest building and one of his last. Should be more well-known - it’s an awe-inspiring spaceship-style modern cathedral. We did the docent-led tour which gave many fascinating insights. Our guide, Jonathan, was excellent - informed and amusing. Make the pilgrimage next time your are in the Bay Area.Written 5 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Libby SSan Francisco, CA65 contributionsI go here every week to buy produce. Love supporting local farmers. The fruit, salsas, cheeses are better than anything you’ll find at a grocery chain, even the ones that deemed themselves as specialty storesWritten 8 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ImaMYSan Francisco, CA1,601 contributionsNow it's my favorite museum of all the Bay Area. So many memories came back looking at the former USSR posters! And from so many other countries. Very interesting, and I want to go back as there is so much to see and absorb.Written 9 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marilyn BSan Rafael, CA136 contributionsEven though I was born and raised in Marin, live near the Marin Civic Center now, it is always a marvel to visit for business or pleasure with my camera. Miss the cafeteria. Outdoor patio on the 4th floor delightful.Written 7 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GitchSupDuluth, MN1,470 contributionsWhile we were visiting California we stopped out at Stinson Beach where we found an injured Greeb that was having seizures on the beach. I was able to get in touch with Wildcare and get directions to the facility and we scooped up the injured bird in a towel and brought it to them for care. The facility is so nice, it's a good size and they were able to take the bird right away and start caring for it with pain meds and anti-swelling. After we left the Grebe in their care we looked in on some of the ambassador animals on the premise, the woman in the courtyard explained they do classes for children to teach conservation and care. If you have anything in need of care this is the place to bring it, and if you need someone to speak at your event or classroom I would give them a call to find out more, they are a great organization.Written 9 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - daleschmidtGreenbrae, CA22 contributionsI have been associated with this institution for well over 40 years. This iconic location is a good representation of classic Catholic lifestyle. My children went to the school. We have been to weddings, sacramental activities, funerals. We have been involved in all the community activities possible. Presently this institution has become largely Hispanic and many of the old world attendees have drifted to other parishes. This is a social issue. This is a genuine fine placeWritten 12 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- PeggySan Rafael, CA7 contributionsThere is a well kept, flat trail for walking or biking. Several ponds with many types of birds.
