What travellers are saying
- AgapeWatersSan Marcos, CA4 contributionsThis place is amazing. Wonderful location. Wonderful collections. Beautiful architecture. Definitely one of L.A's finer Museums. A must-see destination for everyone visiting L.A.Written 3 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Keren R12 contributionsI come here every Sunday, this is one my favorite places, you have a great view from the mountain, Usually I go up walking and I enjoy the viewsWritten 5 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- PromitaS13 contributionsIt is such a wholesome experience to go to Universal. It caters to children as well as adults. The Hollywood studios tour is amazing with all the special effects and sets they present from famous movies. The Harry potter world is magnificent in itself, its magical to walk through Hogsmeade to reach the castle which has an amazing ride.
The top rides we always go to are Harry Potter, Studios tour, Jurassic world (for younger kids), Transformers, Minions, and you can also check out the animal actors. It is such a fun day to have in Universal with all the characters like Shrek and Joker walking around for pictures.Written 3 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Steve MOak Park, IL129 contributionsMade a stop here after ending my Rte 66 voyage from Chicago to LA and so glad I did. I've been a car nut for nearly 50 years, so I very much enjoyed the museum. Much of the main museum has rotating exhibits. When I was there there was a James Bond movie car display that was ridiculously thorough. The hyper car display was also cool. The highlight for me though was the self-guided tour of the Vault. It's an added cost, but we'll worth it. These are cars currently not on exhibition. It had everything including brass era classics, hot rods, low riders, movie amd TV cars and everything in between.Written 17 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Abeer HDubai, United Arab Emirates1,159 contributionsBeing a long time Harry Potter fan, it was exhilarating to visit the Wizarding World. Lots to see, the place is small but well built and can make any HP fan happy. You can buy butterbear, souvenirs, wands and candies too. I didn't go on the rides which i truly missed.Written 12 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Osa51 contributionsTop notch art in a top notch contemporary environment. The building is as interesting as the art it holds. Inspiring and well worth a visit.Written 28 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ghanshyam1949London, UK355 contributionsVisited centre , found out there is name change, no more known as Staples Centre, Buisess reason I supposeWritten 15 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- 1Harry Donnelly!16 contributionsA beautiful place, marred only by the pony rides. This is the wrong way to teach children about animals. There are plenty of animal refuges in the area that a child’s growing brain can absorb of the true purpose of animals, as compared to being spoon fed cruelty with the rides. Thank you very much.Written 16 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- joaniemariaEldridge, IA2,162 contributionsWe walked around the shopping area. Upscale shops and stores. Farmers market nearby. It is worth a stop. There is a lot to see and do.Written 14 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Vic SGreenville, SC395 contributionsIt's like a visit to Jurassic Park, we were supposed to go to academy award museum but they wouldnt let my son in (really) two years after covid while no masks are required in public places in CA...so we headed out of the parking lot and followed our noses to the Pits. It is so cool, after 4/430 pm its half price and you can do the museum in thirty minutes without the show. The last show was 4 so we missed it, but this place is out of this world.. Oil is still bubbling to the surface in the lagoons, and over 1 M (yes million) fossils have been pulled from the pits. So lumber on over, La Brea tar pits is great fun for young raptors to old geezersaurusWritten 16 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Andromeda10 contributionsSeeing Disney Hall was a priority for us when we visited LA, and it did not disappoint. It's a spectacular Frank Gehry building, with a concert hall that has superb acoustics. It is open to the public almost every day to come in and wander around, using their self-guided audio tours or not. There is a lovely peaceful garden off the third level if you just want to sit and veg out. We were lucky enough to get tickets to an LA Phil concert with Dudamel conducting so had the full experience.Written 7 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lena KFullerton, CA205 contributionsOn a non-school day, my granddaughter and I visited the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. Tickets must first be purchased online, selecting day and time of planned visit. Face masks must be worn at all times, except when eating.
We also reserved tickets for the "Becoming Jane" exhibit on Jane Goodall. We both enjoyed the exhibit, which included a tent simulating what Jane lived in when she was in Africa. My granddaughter really enjoyed mimicking the chimpanzee's sounds alerting that a snake is nearby. There is a small restaurant to get a snack or lunch and plenty of indoor and covered outdoor seating. The gift shop offers a variety of souvenirs, toys, gifts.Written 13 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - vacationaholicCentral Oregon, OR345 contributionsAn absolute must for visiting LA and to see the sights and the Hollywood sign. We went on a week day, intending to end towards dusk. At the top of the canyon, can see out to the harbor and inland. It was beautiful. Lot's of people, but didn't feel crowded. Will go again.Written 15 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BronteBucketHarrogate, UK568 contributionsLoved this quiet corner of Venice. We were there very early at 8am and so the walkways very quiet, only a few joggers and dog walkers around, the houses were truly gorgeous with cute gardens and decorations. Great for the ‘which one would you buy?’ game. The developer has wanted to recreate the feel of Venice, Italy, which is a bit of a stretch but I get what he was trying to do. I definitely left with house envy! We probably spent about 45 minutes wandering until we had seen enough.Written 24 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- buckfedexLos Angeles, CA3 contributions. Its a little out of the way but well worth the drive. You must make reservations to go into the other building to see where the cool cars are.
