This was a remarkable museum filled with art, scuplture, and manuscripts. While the tickets are free, it costs $20 to park. That wouldn't be bad for a party of 4 but I was traveling solo. It was still worth the price. Each building has 2 floors and galleries are a little confusing. I would do each building, one at a time starting on the first floor and then going to the second. The galleries are numbered on the entry so just go in order. The grounds are beautiful, as well.

Made a stop here after ending my Rte 66 voyage from Chicago to LA and so glad I did. I've been a car nut for nearly 50 years, so I very much enjoyed the museum. Much of the main museum has rotating exhibits. When I was there there was a James Bond movie car display that was ridiculously thorough. The hyper car display was also cool. The highlight for me though was the self-guided tour of the Vault. It's an added cost, but we'll worth it. These are cars currently not on exhibition. It had everything including brass era classics, hot rods, low riders, movie amd TV cars and everything in between.

Top notch art in a top notch contemporary environment. The building is as interesting as the art it holds. Inspiring and well worth a visit.

Seeing Disney Hall was a priority for us when we visited LA, and it did not disappoint. It's a spectacular Frank Gehry building, with a concert hall that has superb acoustics. It is open to the public almost every day to come in and wander around, using their self-guided audio tours or not. There is a lovely peaceful garden off the third level if you just want to sit and veg out. We were lucky enough to get tickets to an LA Phil concert with Dudamel conducting so had the full experience.

On a non-school day, my granddaughter and I visited the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. Tickets must first be purchased online, selecting day and time of planned visit. Face masks must be worn at all times, except when eating.
We also reserved tickets for the "Becoming Jane" exhibit on Jane Goodall. We both enjoyed the exhibit, which included a tent simulating what Jane lived in when she was in Africa. My granddaughter really enjoyed mimicking the chimpanzee's sounds alerting that a snake is nearby. There is a small restaurant to get a snack or lunch and plenty of indoor and covered outdoor seating. The gift shop offers a variety of souvenirs, toys, gifts.

. Its a little out of the way but well worth the drive. You must make reservations to go into the other building to see where the cool cars are. The music room at the top was great

I love Union Station in LA. It's centrally located and actually serves as a transportation hub as well as being close to everything downtown.
I appreciate being able to reach Union Station from LAX on the Flyaway bus.
The Amtrak lounge works well, too, despite the Covid issues which we're all having to accommodate.

If you like Blade Runner, you must see the Bradbury building. It was still closed when we were there. I looked through the window on the door and took a few photos. I will have to return when it is open. There are some posters in front of the building about Blade Runner and the history of the building. They need to be refurbished as they are in disrepair. Across the street is the Grand Central Market.

Great museum complex with a surprisingly varied and large collection for a "County" museum. Lots of Picassos for example, and other modern art. And of course a nice sampling of earlier Renaissance pieces etc.

The museum still requires masking throughout (regardless of vax status) which was annoying. Unlike most of the City. But even more annoying is the fact that in order to buy a ticket you have to GO ON LINE, a process that I found to be fairly difficult to navigate. Staff seemed less than thrilled to explain the process as well (likely over and over to numerous people) and would not sell tickets the ORDINARY way.

I am not a novice on my smart phone but found the process to be difficult. As it did not work after several attempts a staff member had to help. I can't imagine how difficult it would be for a person who can't speak english to buy a ticket when there are staff members sitting around (Right in front of you) who could just sell you tickets directly. But won't!

A dumb procedure/policy if there ever was one! I just wanted to buy a ticket!

Great place to shop. Almost all big names are there and many factory outlets as well. I feel food places were very limited and had long queues.

This is a beautiful theatre, designed like the classics! Came specifically to see Hamilton, and as soon as you walk in the door you are met with an incredible theatre atmosphere, it immerses you in the experience. Seats are comfortable, views were pretty good.

Pretty interesting place. A lot of it showcasing stuff before my time which was fairly expected seeing Hollywood has been around for decades but I did really enjoy the basement area with all the horror and thriller stuff. The silence of the lambs area was really cool

This library was built in 2 stages; the older is worth exploring for its architecture and design but the newer is less interesting. There are walking tours nearby that can teach about the history, so they're definitely worth taking to make the most of visiting this space. Make sure you check out the children's section - it's the most interesting room.
