Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Yuval G2 contributionsThe riddles were really cooles and we got to know new places in Hollywood.
The instructor was amazing and very fun!Written 4 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This venue took me to a place I had passed by so many times and now I will go back because the clues exposed me to new things. I intend to go to another one when I go to the east coast.Written 11 September 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EthanLos Angeles, CA2 contributionsSpies Among Us is such a cool experience. I live nearby in DTLA and have been to the Arts District and Little Tokyo plenty of times, but never experienced the area in quite the same way as this. It's so cool to be a part of something active and live that spans for blocks and blocks that the masses around you have no idea is going on, even as it involves other people and landmarks and passing messages and all sorts of things. It's priced at a ridiculously good value for what you get. Has a great mixture of humor and intrigue and deception and puzzle solving. And it's incredibly respectful to the neighborhood and local businesses and attractions which just makes it feel so friendly. I've actually done it a couple times and although it doesn't completely change, I did notice some story changes, and it was great to do with different friends and see how they handled it especially when I already knew what was coming. If you like escape rooms, immersive theater, espionage, murder mystery dinners, those sorts of things, you'll love this. I can't recommend Spies Among Us enough!Written 7 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Oliver ROrange, CA38 contributionsGreat experience - loved participating in the games, it was nice that there isn't elimination through most of the games until the finals. There's a "night" market on site, and you can buy merch, such as the tracksuit for $50.
A few highlighted critiques:
1) Photos aren't allowed during the activity/games. Since this is the case, we wish the event itself took some photos during activity and allowed us to buy them or email to ourselves, especially the participant photo with the contestant number.
2) Improve group sales communication. We booked through sales@squidgamethetrials.com to get a group discount for 10+ participants (which was great, 15% off parking and tickets and no additional ticketmaster-like fees). It took overall 11 days from initial inquiry to our event date to get an invoice, pay for it, and receive tickets. We didn't receive tickets until 1 day before the event even though our invoice was fully paid 4 days before the event.
That's actually fine, but it wasn't communicated that this was going to be the case -- so if they had just told us right after paying something like, "We have received your payment. Please note tickets and parking will be emailed out 1 day before your event, coming from this email. Please keep add this email to your spam filter to ensure you don't miss it. We're excited to have you," that would have helped greatly. Instead we received no communication from payment until receipt of tickets so we were following up each day (to radio silence) until the tickets were autogenerated 1 day before the event.
Also, we were promsied a disocunt at the night market on merch/food for booking through group sales, but the staff working in the night market didn't know how to provide this to us.Written 15 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
