Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I am not a fan of contemporary art, but decided to give this museum a look since it is so highly regarded and sponsored by UCLA. I was surprised at how large the museum is, offering a number of exhibitions of different artists. I mostly enjoyed paintings by Rembrandt and few impressionists like Sisely and van Gogh (which I was shocked to see included), and the exhibit on Climate & Social Change was particularly well-done. It was an interesting collection of various artists from around the country, and included multiple media.

Amazing psychedelic ceramic patchworks . Never seen anything like this in my life. A must. The owners themselves the artists showed us around their house. A very sweet couple.

We went because of the Hollyhock House located adjacent to the park. There is parking and nice views of LA, Hollywood sign, and Griffith Observatory. People were picnicking and relaxing on the lawn. It is tucked away on a hillside, and easy to miss.

Took our Canadian tourist to Mrs Fish for a fantastic Father’s Day dinner. A colorful, artsy staircase transports you to a cool basement with a lovely massive aquarium. Located across Pershing Square and in the same building as its sister-resto hotspot Perch, it is a good choice for an amazing LA night-out!

We ordered several creative cocktails (average $15 each) and the following:
    pork belly skewer $13
    skirt steak skewer $14
    rock shrimp tempura skewer $15

    braised short rib $30
    miso black cod $26
    blue crab roll $14

hazelnut mousse with matcha ice cream and wasabi powder

We give this restaurant WOW marks in service, cocktails, skewers and ambience. My absolute favorite dish of the night is the flavorful, very tender, fall-off-the-fork short rib. The secret sauce sunchoke purée with horseradish is super duper lick-the-bowl yummy. The Miso black cod comes in second. The dessert was a revelation as well - matcha ice cream topped with wasabi powder to tame the sugar rush of hazelnut mousse! Geniusssss!

Shout out to our server extraordinaire Gladys. Best to reserve on Opentable.

I stopped by this place on my way out of LACMA, and I am so happy I did. The art was beautiful and compelling, and the space is gorgeous. They also have a fantastic gift shop. I would recommend visiting with just one or two other people, as the museum is quite small, and not built for crowds.

This amazing place is a commercial gallery with a museum-size space, and museum-style exhibitions. Their comprehensive show are extrordinary, and always worth a visit. (Philip Guston currently showing) Parking isn't easy, but it's worth the effort. (Other galleries are on the adjacent block, and a good choice of restaurants are nearby.)

A focused school of art and design which excels in animation, illustration, fashion design, game design, toy design, and more. The school has approximately 1200 students and interacts heavily with the LA creative arts and business community.

The school also runs an excellent summer of art program for students not yet in college.

Many professors are professional animators, illustrators, artists, and storytellers. They bring an authenticity to the classroom and students respond accordingly.

Found this fabulous art gallery in Beverly Boulevard Los Angeles. Very helpful and informative staff. Great collection of local and international artists. Loved so many pieces. Highly recommend a visit. It’s also a lovely area to look around for design, furniture and a coffee!!

11.7.13 saw a most outstanding performance by the South African group.
The dancing and choreography was intense and fascinating. The 3 singers were very soulful and haunting. Thumbs up!! The best show I've seen in a long time. Must see!

What a delightful hour! We read that tours were at 10 and 5, and asked Randy if we could do the 5-he asked that we come at 4 to see the glass and sun at their best-he is committed to the beauty of the work, the possibilities it offers to explore art, perception, experience. It was stunning, Randy is charming and funny-we highly recommend taking an hour of your day, hopefully on a sunny day, to visit and spend time with Randy.
