The facility itself is definitely worth five stars! The location is marvelous and the facility is spectacular. The city view is of course superb and the telescope is truly a great experience, if you have not seen similar one. I also love the planetarium program which was pretty much inspiring. One thing I am not fully satisfied is the trafic. I was expecting many people are coming to the facility, hence I took a bus to get there so that I would not jeopardize others, and tremendous traffic jam that made my bus stacked. There is no bus lane, one side of the road is completely occupied by parking cars. Well - this maybe typical LA but I think there can be some better way. This is simply not my culture, however, I would say that people behaved quite calmly and friendly in spite of such trafic condition. I think it is a part of the magic - a great place makes us all very generous and humble. Highly recommendable.

Perched perfectly on a hillside overlooking LA, the Getty Center feels like stepping back into Ancient Greece or Rome. Open and airy, the views from all sides are beautiful. Collections are smaller than Europe’s notable museums but very worthwhile of a day’s visit. Highlighting the tranquility are the beautiful water installations and sunken garden.

I’m a U.S. Navy Veteran and as such it was a an immensely satisfying experience. We were unable to visit the Iowa last time we visited Los Angeles. Last year we booked a Panama Canal cruise and found a great opportunity to visit the Iowa. We went a couple days early and stayed at a hotel nearby with free shuttle service to various places which included the Iowa. My cousin and her husband and my husband and I traveled together so they joined us. While I’m sure the general access pass is great, we booked a private tour. If you really want a more in depth deep dive into the history of the ship, crew, and mission then the private tour is the way to go. My husband indulges me on these types of tours and thankfully he hasn’t been disappointed, yet. Our very knowledgeable guide (so sorry I can’t recall his name) brought every aspect of the ship to life. One note: I’ve noticed some review comments about the size of the ship not being as large as they thought. One must keep in mind that it is not a ginormous cruise ship made for pleasure ship, but rather a ship of war. It is an impressively large and complex vessel built for one purpose only, to intimidate and destroy the enemy! On another note, our party had two big (not necessarily large men) and we really had no trouble getting in and around the ship. Again, the ship was not meant for comfort. Hence the designation battleship! All in all, despite the terrible weather, it was a fantastic experience that anyone interested in history would enjoy.

It was a great experience overall and worth of the trip. A bit smaller than other places I've been in, but still great.

The biggest thing I noticed about this auto museum is the quality of the interiors of every car, especially the older ones.

The sections were really neat and distinct: The Porshe area, the Tesla area, and Movie Cars. Each were great and informative. There were areas for the kids and even an interactive section.

It took about an hour to go through and probably could have done it in two if I really really read everything. You could pay an additional $70+ bucks to see more than 200 additional cars in the basement, but I passed.

You can get discounted parking for $17 or maybe find someone on the road next door.

It's a good activity to do when it's raining or looking for something new. Also, the Oscar Museum is just across the street, but I didn't visit.

Wow! What a thrill! We went through the whole experience. Just knowing that the animals of the past entered thinking it was just water and they got stuck was sad. But the amount of animals that they pulled out of the tar pit is astounding! This is a great museum and worth the drive. If you like historic information this is the place for you.

Splendid. Outdoor space is lovely for lunch. Restaurant plus a grab n go section. Outdoor sculptures are great. Consider free docent tours at 1 and 1:30.

Treat yourself to a visit to the Broad… even if you are not a contemporary art lover! The museum is astounding, and the collection fantastic.

And because the Broad family foundation is generous… Your visit is free.

Pricey for an hour visit but we had a lot of fun. Was one of the better experiences during our visit to LA. Recommend that you visit if you can.

Saw an ad for their seasonal Spider Pavilion - where you can walk among over 300 giant Orb Weavers - and just had to see it!! It's amazing - unnerving yes, but definitely an amazing experience!! *Disclaimer: although my spider photos look very very close, I have a special lens and am actually quite far away - I didn't disturb them or touch them or anything*

Every year, around late August/early Sept, they release over 300 giant Orb Weavers into what's typically their Butterfly Enclosure and let them get established with their giant webs just in time for spooky season lol! And they let you walk around with all these massive spiders dangling over your head and hiding in the trees around you! A perfect way to get in the Halloween spirit haha!

But don't worry - there are lots of spider staff on hand to educate everyone and help with any fears, concerns, or issues you may have. And these spiders are actually quite slow and docile - they're not interested in you at all. They're also not harmful to us - all spiders are venomous to some degree, but these guys won't bite you unless you're aggressively harassing them and even then it won't be much worse than a bee sting (unless your allergic). That being said, please don't harass them lol!

I learned so much and got to see all sorts of species of spiders- mostly orb weavers such as the Golden Silk, Joro, Orchard Spider, and Yellow Garden Spiders. I also found a few Cat-faced Spiders and they're super cute!! And I found a creepy Green Lynx guarding a giant egg bundle AND an absolutely adorable, tiny jumping spider!

I even managed to find a couple of tiny baby spiders running around and one that was on a giant web that I got some great pics of! What an experience!!

I also found a cluster of ladybugs in all their various stages of development: larvae, pupae, and adult - I didn't even know ladybugs pupated!!

So it's definitely worth a visit if you can handle it - lots of school groups came through and most of the kids were loving it haha! Entry is with a timed ticket that you have to reserve in advance and it's an additional $8 on top of general museum admission. Staff take you into the first room where they give you the rules and some info and education and there's a nice display of various types of tarantulas too - but those are behind glass so don't worry haha!

Your timed ticket is good for 30 minutes but staff are generous and flexible if you want to stay longer. And if you can't get enough of the awesome arachnids, they have another creepy and interesting exhibit downstairs in the Nature Lab of Black and Brown Widows in cute little cages with different themes. Very creepy but fun to check out.

The museum itself is massive - it would take me at least a week to explore it all. But I had a nice walk around their extensive gem and mineral exhibit and the Nature Lab - so interesting!! They have all sorts of native California creatures and even a large enclosure full of rats!! Live rats!!

They have a cafe called Neighborhood Grill and a gift shop and several floors of different exhibits - it's huge! They have their own parking garage that's guarded and costs $15 for the day. It's all handicap accessible and has EV charging.

What an incredible experience! And wonderful, knowledgeable, passionate staff! I'll definitely be back to explore more!

Beautiful vehicles and musical instruments, extremely friendly staff. The free museum is wonderfull but the nominal $10 charge for the "collection" tour is a must see. Very educational.

This is a museum FULL of nostalgia. Even if you were unfamiliar with old (and new) Hollywood, it is incredible to just be IN such an iconic, historic building. We thoroughly enjoyed our jaunt through each of the four floors and were struck by how MUCH was in the building. We even took a chance and explored the basement with the horror items, even though half of the family are big chickens!

It was quite an experience, and compared to other places in Hollywood, the price was fair, and the building was so neat!

I went to see the chorus last July. The atmosphere was great, the scenery was good at night, the sun was fading, and the movie was starting. If you're behind the observation deck, it's just a few steps up from there. It was well worth the climb up the steps as the view was breathtaking and the Hollywood sign was right behind the stage. It’s so relaxing and enjoyable. Another amazing Los Angeles experience.

Was in the area with my 17 year old daughter and stopped to see the Endeavor. We visited on December 31 and learned the shuttle was going off display after that day for a few years while they move to a new facility. Our timing couldn’t have been better!

This is the third shuttle I have seen out of the 4 on display in the US. Atlantis in Florida is by far the best but this one was cool. It was housed in a building by itself with plenty of room for many people and to take photos. It was elevated so you could walk around and under the entire shuttle.

The walk to the shuttle was a bit far but I do get they want you to look at other things as well.

We really didn’t stop at many other exhibits, with the exception of a few space exhibits like Mattingly’s Apollo 16 lunar space suit.

Gift shop has plenty to purchase and there are a few diners on site as well.

Entry was free but we did pay $20 to park next door in the parking garage.

The Collosium football stadium that USC plays in is next door so you can take photos of the stadium during the trip if that interests you as well.

This museum is a smaller one, yes, but the exhibits switch out a lot which more than makes up for it. One of the floors was being re-done so we couldn't see it, but the rest of the museum was a lot of fun. I hope some day they move to a bigger space. We came for the Ghost exhibit, but loved all the different genres that were represented. The Shakira exhibit was amazing! Will be back next time in LA.

Anyone interested in our shared humanity should visit this museum. We visited on a Thursday at 5pm, when entry is free…and wow we were bowled over by the history of Americans of Japanese descent. The story of internment was so powerful and the temporary exhibition‘Aki’s Market’ just brilliant. We visited and left with an understanding of the trans generational trauma of incarceration and displacement. THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT PLACE. Thank you to all the staff who were so welcoming and informative…visit, it is great…we are supper in Little Tokyo afterwards!
