- Necole CEl Segundo, CA1 contributionIt's been some time since I've been to the Baked Potato. Honestly, I really miss it. I've been going to shows there for decades. It is such a special place- small, but intimate. I've seen some of the most incredible musicians there. (Allan Holdsworth, RIP). I've read the reviews about the new patio situation. I guess that means that I get there even earlier next time. It's worth it. Also, the baked potatoes are so off the hook that I might drive down just to get one. I'm getting hungry thinking about it. Glad to know the Spud is still going strong. Director Dwight Trible, a legendary jazz vocalist, features an array of Jazz talent each Friday night and workshops throughout the week. The Friday sets usually begin around 8pm and 10pm. The cover is by donation (around $20-$25). There are snacks available but no food (sometimes there are catering trucks which are usually outstanding). - David Z3 contributionsI first discovered Gilles Signature events while going to JazzEclecticLA with some friends. The atmosphere was really great. It was so refreshing to see so many people on a Tuesday night enjoying some of the best live music in town. The crowd was one of the coolest and most diverse I’ve seen in years and my friends and I had a fantastic time.
I later found out about CreativeJazzFusion which is another event hosted by Gilles Signature.
I got to see one of the most amazing pianists, Dave Yaden that night.
For those who enjoy fantastic live music in an elegant and chic atmosphere,
Gilles Signature events are the place to be. The food was also delicious.
