We loved our experience. We went with relatives who live in the area and we took a water taxi to the Aquarium.
the Aquarium is great, it has nice habitats and interesting exhibits, it has more than just marine life. They have art fairs, interactive experiences and many different area to explore making the experience extra fun with kids.

We honeymooned on Catalina 30 years ago and came back in 2009 with our kids. At that time. You went to the terminal and purchased tickets. I didn’t realize it would b so hard to get tickets. There is a third party site which is foreign operated. There were no tickets available thru Catalina express. I tried to book there but they couldn’t accommodate our time so thankfully they refunded our money. Next Wednesday called Catalina express directly and spoke to a wonderful woman who was able to help us out with a reservation. We had to sit in the commodore lounge on the way out which gets u a drink and snack and comfy seats. It wasn’t necessary for us but it was nice.

If you are near Long Beach during the Christmas holiday season, the holiday lights along the Naples Canal should be at the top of your list of sites to visit. The combination of wonderful and creative decorations, lighting and reflections along the water make for a unique experience that can not be replicated elsewhere. As an amateur photographer, I thoroughly enjoy my annual visit and the treasure-trove of images I bring back home to share with family and friends. Best to visit on a weeknight to avoid large crowds, as the pathways are quite narrow and parking can be a challenge.

We visited the QM in late December. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Meal service at breakfast was nice. We took a daytime tour of the boat, which was informative. One of our teens is totally into the QM’s history. For him, it was particularly exciting. He bought a nice QM pin (see photo)

Nice to walk around - a good variety of shops and restaurants, though quite a few of the restaurants are pricey and some of the shops look like the type of place where you might struggle to get a refund after a few days... but nice to browse

Our neighbors with a park seasonal pass invited me to a morning hike at the El Dorado Park, located practically alongside the 605 freeway with traffic zooming by. It felt like stepping into another world past the entrance to this sanctuary. The calming, serene environment was a welcoming break from the city bustle and humdrum routine. How wonderful to have a nature park within minutes from our home. Our leisurely walk along the easy 2-mile trek on this beautiful morning with clear blue sky truly showcased Southern Californian living with its great weather and easy access to a wide multitude of outdoor activities.

East Long Beach is a Dog owners "heaven"
Why : MANY dog friendly recreation areas AND Dog OK eat and drink establishments
1.Rosie is a "3 'due to general aesthetics of the area..but does a DOG
care?.IT IS Leash Free weeee! BEWARE the Ocean ave area
(From Granada Ave.to Termino Ave.) -suffering from homeless &spike in Crime.
    2. SAFER areas OK to walk dog on leash :Around the other E Long Beach water close areas ..Where locals go): Around Marine Stadium : LARGE Free and SAFE parking area..LOTS of open green , The Colorado lagoon has beautiful trails and on-leash dogs OK.
Dog eat and drink fun: Belmont Shore sidewalks get crowded = keep tight control when walking there. Most eat and Drink venues in Belmont Shore are Dog friendly..but try to sit at a table away from other dogs...there are lots of dogs frequently in attendance.
Dog Hotels = Lots of them
RV parking: The Best bet is Bolsa Chica St Beach is 6 mi.Close = safe , clean, lots of space.E Long Beach is "Tight" so if you are travelling by Large vehicle =Careful
If you have a smallish Dog( less than 20 lbs) it is a great option to Uber /lyft and hold pooch on Lap.."Drop-Get best at parking lots NOT at Street corners and alleys.
    Enjoy.

What a pleasant small setting. A great blue heron landed and fished in the pond and humming birds abounded. Lovely blossoms were drifting like a gentle snow beautifully landing on some of the greenery. Plenty of places to be present, contemplate, and be. Tip: Have low expectations as it is a small space, well worth the visit. Tip: Great place for a book to bring.

Cool place to hang out and shop. They typically have food trucks lined up on the weekends to expand the culinary offering for patrons. Sunny days are best to go. All of the stores are open air and not indoors so you are outside each time you visit one. The parking garage is not far and price to park is modest. The store selection is not vast but there is something for everyone and every age. Sales are not mind blowing but if you look hard enough, you can catch a deal.

big facility but great location. Staff very friendly, well maintained and cared for facilities. Small snack stand was ok but pricey. Good site for a convention with plenty to do in the area

This area have a lot of place to have really good food. The only down fall is the homeless people walking up while sitting enjoying a meal. I think the city needs to POWER WASH the streets each morning.
