Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

At a mere 124 metres above the crystal lagoon, the Maunga Pu lookout is the highest point on otherwise relatively flat island Aitutaki. Naturally, we wanted to climb it. We tried to drive our rented little sedan up the bitumen road but gave that up when the steep road turned to gravel and we started slipping backwards. So we left the car parked on the main road, and began a half hour hike uphill. The track was pretty in parts, but slippery and steep, rough in places, tough work for an older couple. We had to help each other up, anchoring ourselves by pulling at vegetation by the side of the track. But once at the top, the 360-degree views were terrific, an ideal home for the tall tower which provides much of the island’s telecommunications and rough monuments to the workers who went before. Tip: Give it an hour and don’t do it at night. It’s not for the fainthearted, infants, or anyone wearing thongs. Boots or shoes with good tread definitely recommended.

WOW WOW WOW this spa is amazing. Upstairs its quiet, the music is at an acceptable level, not too loud, just relaxing. No you don't get the feet wash but oh well. Yes the obligatory drink. The change room/bathroom spotless and well laid out. The one massage room is lovely, serene. But the therapist are some of the best around. I had Devi, do yourself a favour and request her, she is amazing, very intuitive to your needs. Thanlkfully there is no talking, just time to relax and enjoy your massage.
We highly recommend the Tiare Spa, glad I got to have several during our stay.

Awesome friendliness. Small. Went where big boats can’t. I left my phone behind and not a problem they suggested going back. I couldn’t believe it. Anyway we luckily found it beforehand. This was the tone of the whole day.
    Awesome snorkelling too

We were recommended Capt Dan by friends 6 months before we arrived in Aitutaki. My partner, 9 year old son and I went on the full day tour and would not recommend anything less!!! The sites are so extensive and breath taking i sincerely advise you take the time to relax and enjoy it for as long as possible. Capt Dan was SUPER friendly and a great companion for my son who grew tired towards the end and opted to stay on the boat. His energy is confident, relaxing, encouraging. His knowledge of the area is A+++. The lunch was pleasing to us all and tried our best to eat it all! We were so lucky to even jump in with the whales at the end of the day. Out of 12 days in the CI, this single day was the best!
