The is a gem of a National Park, Walking thru a rainforest is at times a challenge, Although the trails are well maintained to see the Lemurs we often needed to go into the bush.

The first is a crocodile park which also includes a fossa as well as chameleons and frogs, in addition to the thirty or so Nile Crocodiles, all virtually comatose in the cool of winter.
The experience was far more rewarding than many of the guided walks we have had in different parks and reserves in Madagascar.

MANTADIA NATIONAL PARK AND WATERFALL We also took a couple of great night hikes guided on the forest trails (can't do those in the National Park?).
I love the fact that this place also well come local children to learn how important and vital is we need to protect nature, protect all plants trees and animals!

The park seems to be better maintained than the National Park, particularly the pathways, and our guide was clearly passionate about it.
After visiting the Andasibe national park we spent the afternoon in this smaller community run reserve.
