Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our group of 14 toured with Antony (guide) and Nikos (driver). The tour itself is great; you’re in the bus a long time, but the sites are amazing and the hotels were top-notch. Most important however, was the professionalism and skill of both Nikos and Antony. They were the best! Efcharistó!

Mike was our driver and guide and he offered so much valuable information concerning our trip and Greece in general. He is well spoken and very kind. We found him to have a delightful sense of humor and some fantastic food recommendations throughout the day.

My family of four (13 year old girl and 8 year old boy) had a great time on this trip. We were picked up right from the airport after arriving in Greece by Kristos. We were very comfortable in a large black van. My kids got some extra sleep on the drive up. Kris was accommodating in my husband's desire to add a stop to the trip (the Crossroads). We were lucky enough in Delphi to see the Olympic Committee bring the Torch.

Meteora was absolutely gorgeous. We got to see a couple of monasteries. We had a late start that morning so opted to skip the third. The next stop was Thermopylae, where Kris was very knowledgeable about the history of the battle and its consequences. He also was very patient as my husband tried to react various 300 and Oedipus scenes. All in all we had a great time.

What a wonderful way to spend the day! The views are absolutely breathtaking.
Our driver was very knowledgeable and shared so much information.
I only wish there was more time. The private tour was the only way to go!
I can not imagine this trip on a big bus tour.
If you can afford it, go! you wont regret it!

The operator informed me that rail was unavailable and asked if I was still keen to proceed traveling via intercity bus. He gave very clear instructions and the pickup at Kalambaka was prompt. I like how the guide and driver were very experienced and took many wonderful photos for me which is rare particularly when I am traveling solo. The bus from Kalambaka to Thessaloniki was the same vehicle even though two separate tickets were issued and made it easy for me not to have to change bus at Trikala station. I recommend visiting Meteora during autumn as it is offpeak (lesser visitors) and and the weather is cooler. The whole tour takes a very long time and be sure to stay hydrated and keep some snacks with you when you are planning to join this tour.

We spent a day hiking around Meteora on our own, but would have missed out on so much of the depth of the experience if we had not taken the VisitMeteora tour! Dimitrius our guide and Sotos our driver were amazing. They shared the history of each monastery, the hermitages, the details of the towns of Kalambaka and Kastraki, the geological formation of the landscape, the religious and military context of the area, and even great restaurant recommendations. It was fantastic.

Our guide Angeliki and driver Lucas were amazing! I would recommend this tour to anyone that is interested in learning more about the rich history of Greece. We chose the 3 star hotel option, the first and last hotel were fine but the second hotel in Delphi was in desperate need of some maintenance and deep cleaning though.

Recommended by Zoe at our hotel, Alkyoni Beach Hotel - this was such a great day
Picked up just a short walk from the hotel, Alex our guide and William, our driver, gave us a truely memorable time.
So much to see, the trip was so well planned Never rushed. Time to see the main sights and fantastic scenery while we were moving
Special mention of our driver. Some of the mountain roads are exciting’ to say the least! Never a worry….
Alex also had knowledge way beyond the normal tour guide
    A real memory

Filippis Tour in Athens is very handy and located right in front of the ferry departures/arrivals, where you can find connections to all Greek islands. They helped me organising a week in Athens and the whole process was smooth and efficient. They took care of everything for me - flights, accommodation, local tours, taxi transfers all great!
I then decided to spend some more days travelling around a couple of islands and they helped me arranging that too.
Great customer service and experience, highly recommended!

Vasilissis was a great tour guide and we had an amazing time touring the monasteries. It was nice to have the bikes since it got really crowded, we were able to get to the front of the monasteries and pass the cars and tour buses.

Last-minute changes to the train schedule from Thessaloniki were communicated in advance and clearly by the team. They gave us a few different alternatives to get to Meteora, we chose a private transfer. It was well worth it.

The tour itself was informative, and our guide was extremely knowledgable and passionate about the place. She brought the history and stories of the monasteries alive.

    We thoroughly enjoyed the day.
