Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely amazing visit and I recommend Katherina as a guide as she has huge knowledges of the sites and monasteries and personnal interesting anecdotes that makes the trip even more interesting. She is so dedicated that she was working during easter day when we went (which is a big family celebration not to be missed in Greece). We are very grateful for her to have given us so much of her time and helped us learn so much about the site history :) I will definitely recommend to anyone going to Greece to visit this place (a Unesco site btw), it is a MUST-DO in Greece.

Excellent tour of breathtaking sites!! Maria was superb in her narration. The monasteries were incredibly ornate and remote.

    English Tour

The views were amazing, but the itinerary was hard to access so remember no showing shoulders or knees must wear a skirt, not pants if a woman... they rent scrafs to who don't have skirts.

The 3 monasteries change by the day so you don't know which one you will enter. I wish we had gone with the original date we would have been able to try honey on the Wednesday. we went Tuesday to the male monetary and female nun monetary and one more.

The food was not great only 30 minutes for lunch with 3 buses full, for dinner you had to pay and had 40 minutes since our AWESOME tour guide clover and clave said we were early leaving every place they were the best part of the trip with history and taking photos for anyone who asked and were just lovely. We got to go to a secret place to take photos and it was just beautiful.

Recommendations: BUY SNACKS and DRINKS at the first pit stop and the second since it is 5 hours drive to and from. The train station did not have good breakfast. Personally I needed more food and drinks then expected for a full day of bus and touring, oh the AC on the bus to and from was not great, remember to ask for the WIFI password and the AC with the tour guides was great.

What a wonderful day. It was amazing to see this mountains and rocks in live😍😍😍 I loved it❤️Yiannis and the bus driver (sorry I forgot his name) were very nice and friendly. Professionals in their field! Very kind guide Yiannis was always ready to help with both advice and deeds!!! I advise everyone to choose a group with Yiannis and a cool driver with dark glasses!

It was a great experience for both my Wife and me. The narrator and great driver (like a chauffeur) made the bus ride very comfortable and effective, with multiple rest stops, and stories. The Delphi and Meteora were must sees. Hotel and dinner stop for the overnight trip, were more than adequate, and wide distribution of food choices and desserts. Cost was appropriate. I have always been adverse to considering a bus tour. This changed my mind. An overnight bag was definitely a great idea, instead of our giant bags for our total 15 day trip.

Spectacular experience with informative & helpful tour guide Anna. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wish to see more of Greece in a short timeframe. The bus journey to Delphi is nothing but breathtaking. And the journey from Delphi to Meteora brings a total different experience. I must say, most of the time, we are spent on traveling. But the guide shared a lot of history and stories along the way. Also, the view itself is worth the ride. There is also WiFi on the bus (but connection can be slow in the mountains). Overall, we enjoyed this tour.

Amazing views and excellent, knowledgable and friedly guides. I did the sunset tour one afternoon/evening and a hiking tour the next morning. Very different tours where we saw very different views and visited different monasteries. Well worth it.

Our group of 14 toured with Antony (guide) and Nikos (driver). The tour itself is great; you’re in the bus a long time, but the sites are amazing and the hotels were top-notch. Most important however, was the professionalism and skill of both Nikos and Antony. They were the best! Efcharistó!

Tough trip by train. Had problems both ways. Would consider bus the whole way. Having said that guide and driver were wonderful. Helpful and informative. Amazing views and great day.

This was a fantastic tour. Our guide, Katerina, brought the area to life for me. As a local, she had stories about each of the stops that gave them such flavor. You can’t get that from anywhere else. Our driver was amazing in that I never got carsick on those twisty roads, and I always do.

It was a cold cloudy day so we didn’t get to see a sunset. But the whole tour was so much more than that so it didn’t matter.

I can’t recommend this tour enough.

We were delighted with the punctuality of the service, value for money, knowledge and experience of our guide Yiorgos.

We took the drive to Meteora via the scenic route recommended by Yiorgos and we were able to see the magnificent landscape and agricultural aspects of the region including the Pindus mountains, the olive and peach groves and the fields full of sunflowers.

On arrival at Meteora our driver took us to areas not witnessed by the majority of visitors which we found fascinating. The only downside was the number of visitors, mainly on coach trips, that made the monasteries slightly overcrowded but we visited during peak season. On return journey Thessaloniki we asked to visit Neraida and the lake of Polyfytou which we found utterly inspiring.

The convenience and comfort of the private tour made our experience extremely enjoyable. Our transfers to and from the airport were equally comfortable and arrived as booked.

We would not hesitate to recommend De Tours Transfers. Our very grateful thanks to Illias, Dimitra and Yiorgos for making this all possible.

The staff was super friendly and I learned so much on this tour. It was comprehensive and fun. I enjoyed learning and asking questions with our hiking tour guide. I enjoyed the local town as well. And the majestic views with the monasteries built up on the rocks. I loved learning about the geology of how the area was formed too.

Mike was our driver and guide and he offered so much valuable information concerning our trip and Greece in general. He is well spoken and very kind. We found him to have a delightful sense of humor and some fantastic food recommendations throughout the day.
