Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I and her sister arrived on a cruise ship and had a great day with Chief Chris as we spent the full day traveling around Samoa. We had several opportunities to swim in freshwater rivers, pools, and a saltwater volcanic trench. Lunch was excellent at a seaside resort. Chris shared his heritage, culture, and traditions of the Samoan people and it was an outstanding experience if you only have one day on the island.

I wasn't happy with the tours offered by the ship so I chose this. It was an excellent tour led by a man that grew up in Hawaii with a Samoan mother that eventually relocated to Samoa. He can compare and contrast life between the two and obviously loves Samoa.

We had a wonderful excursion! It’s well worth the money as we got to see a lot of different sites, such as; Flea market (so many things), Robert Stevenson house (beautiful and very informative), Baha House of Worship, Papapapaitai Falls, Maninoa Ocean Club (for a wonderful lunch and a fabulous show), and the Sopoaga Falls!
The owner of this tour company, our guide Elijah, and Derrick (photographer) were all very informative, friendly, and professional. We had the best time! It was truly the best one we’ve been on.

I went on the full day tour on Upolu Island and it was absolutely amazing! I think we got to see most of the famous spots on the island without feeling stressed or in a hurry! Everything was well organised and we had a great time! Can totally recommend it!

Our tour guide, Arthur, was great. He has a wonderful personality, and is very well spoken. He gave us a lot of local information and happily answered my many questions. He was a really good, safe driver, and got us to most of the places before the crowds. We loved swimming in the cave pool, the cenote, and the ocean. What a gorgeous itinerary! I highly recommend this trip.

Shawn and Janette were absolutely amazing, so good that we asked Janette to take us on a second private tour the next day. They were fantastic with our 6 year old, very personable and had great knowledge of the area. One of the best parts of the tour was the conversation, and learning about them and Samoa. The tour destinations were excellent, they had great quality gear, and they had some very nice side touches to make the entire experience very memorable. Thank you to you both.

Our half day tour was just perfect and right for us.
Firstly our booking was an error due to some reason that the dates were wrong but the tour owner kindly amended the date for us as this is our highlight of our stay in the lovely country of Samoa.

Our tour guide Tasi was frienddly, kind and he was so caring to our needs and ensuring that we are comfortable during the entire trip.

Places of interest were amazing to visit. It opens our eyes as tourist to the wonders to this country and what it can give and show to people.

Last stop was in the cave pool where we have a private chef that cooked us lovely lunch and the meal was presented in an exceptional way that we feel like special.

Highly recommended tour and a must do when you visit this country.

Thank you Tour Samoa and to our tour guide Tasi and to our chef. :)

Thank you so much Geoff for fitting us in for the Crater Lake hike, it truly was worth it! We had the best guide on the Island, Arthur aka Afa! You are the man! The most chill German Samoan I've met. He makes light work of the track, with his Indiana Jones-like machete in hand to make sure your face and feet are still pristine and untouched on the path by the surrounding plant life. So all that is required from you is a reasonable level of fitness and a go-get-it attitude. So just pace yourself and enjoy the scenery you will be treated to a plethora of exotic plant life, and red and yellow clay soil so make sure you have your camera ready for those picturesque scenes. We were fortunate it wasn't raining, but the track was still slippery and muddy plus the added humidity, the perfect combo for a good workout. Finally when you arrive at the Lake, just pause and take it all in, it is such a magical creation it was so calm and peaceful there and we enjoyed a refreshing dip in its emerald waters. When you are ready to head back, lunch is provided, and fresh tropical fruits and sandwiches just taste divine after such a solid adventure. My wife and I had a great time, so we highly recommend this tour for all you explorers, hikers, and just anyone who would love to go off on the beaten track and discover something different in the tropical landscape of Samoa. Fa'afetai lava Geoff, and Arthur for making this adventure possible.

Lubuto picked us up at the port right on time. Off we went in an air conditioner van with right hand drive. About 10 yrs ago they changed over to right hand drive because so many of the people went to New Zealand for work and goods to send home. First we went to the flag raising. A group of police officers, both men and women, dressed in uniform ( the men wear skirts called EI) came marching down the street with a band. We were told this signified the begging of the government work day. We were told to be quiet and respectful. There was a group of schoolchildren watching too. They applauded once the flag was raised. There was just a hand full of tourists watching too. No ships tour were there. It turned out to be a special treat. About a week ago there had been some sort of big government meeting that King Charles attended so cultural show we wanted to go to was canceled. We went to the market. They had a produce area and a crafts section. The fruits were limited to what is grown on the island, papaya, coconuts, bananas and pineapple. I saw some long beans, cabbage and not much else. We road, around for a while. The island is very beautiful and appeared to be much wealthier than American Samoa. It started to rain. Lubuta suggested we drive up to the mountains to a lookout spot. He said very few tourists go there. When we got there it was raining and too clouded over to see anything. Lubuta call a family that lived very near by and an older woman(the grandmother) and her 10yr old granddaughter brought out 3 plates with cut up papaya, chunks of coconut and baby finger bananas for us to snack on. They refused compensation. The Samosas share what they with visitors. Lubutas wife is a physician, his father is a minister. On the way down the mountain we stopped at Robert Louis Steven’s home. He lived and died on the island. Lubuta said he did a lot for the people. All in all a great day with some special treats.

Great Tour and insight into the small business of Samoa. Passionate people doing great things and cleverly utilizing the spirit that makes Samoa special.
Also, a massive rap for the team at Tour Samoa, approachable, friendly and just made the experience even better with their local knowledge.
