Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Andrew E1 contributionExploring the Beagle Channel with friends was unforgettable. The stunning scenery and diverse wildlife were breathtaking. We loved the boat tour, especially seeing the sea lions and penguins up close. It was both exciting and educational. A must-visit for an amazing adventure with friends!Written 2 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- SandtravlrPort Orange, FL343 contributionsWe have been very lucky to see many things in the world. Our Patagonia trip was also a great experience traveling from Barilochte to Ushuaia capped off by our day trip to Martillo island to walk among the Gentoo and Magellanic penguins. We had seen the worlds smallest penguins in the Galapagos but this was a much more moving experience. It is 7 - 8 hours in total but it is not to be missed if you are in this part of the world.Written 31 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - sanddsheppardUniversity Heights, OH358 contributionsVery interesting to see how this war is treated from the Argentina side compared to the Falklands; especially in Ushuaia which is the provincial capital of the Maldivas. A somber place acknowledging the lost Argentinian lives.Written 24 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - angeleyes27Brigantine, NJ5,334 contributionsWe took a boat tour from the cruise dock which travels through the Beagle Channel. They make a photo stop here for you to see the tons of cormorants and sea lions, but you do not get off, just take pictures from the boat. It is pretty with the snow capped mountains in the background.Written 18 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Vyctor TSao Paulo, SP89 contributionsIf you rent a bike in downtown and ride over the highway you can easily reach Playa Larga and Estancia Tunel. It is not a smooth bike ride to get there, so, be aware. However the ride provides breathtaking views from all Ushuaia bay, Playa Larga and all the coast. I did it by myself with no guide and it was pretty easy to get there. Get a map in downtown before going into your adventure.Written 15 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
