This experience was amazing! The drive into the park is beautiful! You'll need to pay $2520 in pesos to get into the park. Best to be prepared with exact change if possible, as they couldnt break my $500 peso (~ 5 dollar bill). They broke all the people into groups and staggered the hikes so we weren't on top of each other. I think the description of this tour undersells the physical effort needed for this. Know that your feet will be heavy with gear, you'll need to stomp a lot, and you'll need to be sure on your feet as you trek up and down icy terrain. It's not a leisurely walk. Wear waterproof pants and shoes, especially shoes! You'll inevitably need to hike through small glacial streams. If there is rain in the forecast wear waterproof pants and jacket!! Gloves are a must! But if you forget them, they provide some. If you have a wearable GoPro, bring it! Many times you'll want to take pictures but can't because you have to focus on safely hiking. Taking time to get a packed lunch the day before is annoying, but you'll be thanking yourself for bringing something yummy and hearty after the hiking! The tour ends with self-paced sightseeing in the national park. It's stunning!
