Our guides Maria and Rafa were great, they had us laughing from the moment we boarded the bus and looked after us well throughout the day - could see them checking in and chatting to everyone on the bus, which was nice - especially as we were a very mixed group of at least 40! We booked the option without monuments, which gave us time to explore these gorgeous Spanish cities ourselves. - J TFort Lauderdale, FL92 contributionsWe did a private tour of Avila and Segovia with Joan as our guide. Everything was fantastic! He picked us up precisely at 9am at our hotel. The tour vehicle was clean, spacious and he offered us complimentary bottled water. Joan was a wealth of knowledge when it came to the history of Madrid, Avila, and Segovia. He did great to fill in any quiet moments along the way with interactive conversation about Spanish food and history. Joan’s English was clear, upbeat, and he spoke at a very nice pace. Once we got to each location, he didn’t just drop us off, instead he walked beside us and pointed out the important areas to see and things to know. It was very informative. Note: There are FEW toilet facilities when you do this tour so be prepared.
