Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was our second time visiting Aitutaki, and our second time booking with Teking Tours. Teking (the owner) is extremely knowledgeable and familiar with the fish (Wrasse ) and the island. We stopped at several stops to see various marine life, giant clams, purple coral, and a Motu stop for a BBQ lunch with lots of fruit and salads. The day ended with a wonderful beach stop to relax and take pictures. Teking returned us to the port to catch the tender back to the Paul Gauguin. We compared the ships tour excursions and they in no way compared to what Teking offers. Value for the money you won't do better than booking with Teking

Review written by a grateful and still quite new iphone: My nitwit owner contacted these guys after leaving me on one foot island due to a misunderstanding of events and a painful lack of checking behind. Fortunately the fool recalled the spot he left me. Anyway they were happy to help - picked up the phone and even dropped it off to our accommodation. Great job, thanks. Also I am flush with stunning photos of the islands and lagoon as far as one foot island, you should definitely go on their cruise

An awesome day out. From the friendly resort pickup by Aunty Rima of Aitutaki Taxis and our delivery to Mona's launching site, right through to being once again picked up from Mona's end of cruise mooring site and delivered back to the resort at the end of the tour, this was one special day.

Captain Dan, Co-Captain Manuel, and Bosun Scarlet-Rose (Captain Dan's 8 & 4 yr old children who wanted to spend the day with dad given it was school holidays, and why wouldn't they??? Island life at its best!!! ) exceeded our expectations and made this day one to remember for all the right reasons.

Fantastic sites and opportunities for snorkeling and photographs were all part of the day along with an awesome island BBQ lunch full of Cook Island delicacies including, tuna, breadfruit chips, paw paw salad and fried banana.

We visited 4 islands including One Foot Island (where lunch was served and also where a meeting had taken place during the 2023 Pacific Forum) and Honeymoon Island.

The beauty of this trip was we were able to see it all without the big group hassles and were made to feel that each spot was 'ours' to experience, pretty much alone.

Dan was knowledgeable and clearly loves what he does for a job (if you could call it a job - just saying Captain Dan 😉).

On this tour you will see all manner of fish species, giant clams, giant trevally, turtles and also a vast array of beautifully coloured corals.

If you are thinking about this tour and are wondering if it's good value for money then don't hesitate to book given it will give you a lifetime of memories that will last way longer than the dollars you spent on the day. Totally worth it - 100%. Just do it!!!

P.S: I'm a former tour company owner and know a decent day out when I've experienced one and this was one of those occasions.

It's real Aitutaki. Nothing fancy, just wholesome hospitality and value for money done in the good old Cook Islands tradition.

Love your work guys and long may you keep showing off your special part of the world to those that are lucky enough to come across you.

    Until we meet again.

We did the land tour with Ted and Rhonda. Great couple of hours with people who care about their island. History, geograpy, conservation, refreshments and lots of humour. Would 100% recommend.

One of the best kite spots, I've been. We went mid of April and we were lucky with the constant three days wind window. April is shoulder season, so no wind guarantees. But then, there was only us on the water. The whole enormous lagoon just our playground.
We went with Mike and also rented equipment from him. Very good/ new equipment.
Mike and his brother, who came along are super nice. Great briefing on the spot, shared some fruit with us for lunch and explained a lot about local culture.
They also took snorkeling equipment, and we could snorkel on our way back, since we left early.
I'm also thrilled that Mike is starting to grow corals at a reef that was severely hit by coral bleaching recently.

Great private Lagoon tour, we were able to choose where we went, but obviously took their local knowledge on the best spots. AMAZING snorkeling and great to see the native birds on their own Islands

We did two days diving with Onu during our stay in Aitutaki. Awesome! Very professional, friendly and accommodating. We were well looked after by Onu and his crew. Saw many turtles, eagle rays, a couple of amorous sting rays and many, many reef fish. Highly recommend.

Absolutely stunning!!! This was the highlight of our 4 day stay on Aitutaki. Experiencing Aitutaki from the water takes it to another level. The cruise was beautiful with the visit to One Foot island a highlight. Make sure if you are able, to walk the sandbar onto the island after the snorkelling. That in itself is a unique experience. It is about a 1k walk, not 200 metres as the staff jokingly tell you, but was well worth it You are able to buy a cold drink on board to take on the walk and the lunch that awaits you on the island was delicious and filling. Fresh salads, BBQ fish and plenty of it. The staff were friendly and funny, and ensured everyone had a superb day. We saw giant clams, Giant Trevally and Spotted Eagle rays during the snorkelling, as well as other marine life. Also make sure you take your passport to get the One Foot Island stamp added.

This is an exceptional tour the captain had wonderful stories about the people of these lands and events that happened on the islands. Breathtaking beaches and the snorkelling spots were excellent. Best thing about this cruise is only 10 people no crowds we had the islands to ourselves as we were the first there. The bbq lunch was fantastic everyone went back for seconds. Thank you Captain Fantastic

Wet & Wild are a professional organisation they may charge just a little bit more but they are worth it. The other organisation Aitutaki Kiteboard run by the Lee is exactly that.. Leigh constantly offers himself on the side and very much it is an aged Benny Hill Show.. your girlfriend will be hit upon along with everything else whilst you are out kiting… they may be cheaper… but nothing is sacred, they may think they are a cooler but realistically there’s little professionalism a wake of victims and are more like a bunch of Lions lying in hammocks in the sun… awaiting and playing Mikes well rehearsed games to eventually have you at the back of the coconut trees at lunch time, if that’s your thing.. go for it… but if being used and abused isn’t then personally I would recommend Wet & Wild a truely family non dramatic emotional play off organisation that offers a top notch professional service and guidance

We absolutely loved the Aitutaki lagoon tour with T’s Tours. We did the morning 3 hour trip for 2 people and the whole experience was brilliant. T is super nice and picked us up from the Aitutaki Lagoon Private Island Resort. His knowledge about the lagoon, it’s history and the wildlife is great. We appreciated the fruit and water and the boat’s shelter canopy is great. We would definitely recommend an Aitutaki lagoon tour with T’s Tours 👍

Only had one day but what a great exoerience. Butch is a fly fisherman and a guide. I think when he is not guiding he goes fishing anyway. Butch likes to wade and sight-fish which is ideal. He does have a good fly fishing boat with a poling platform. I got some and missed some but also saw a couple I was reluctant to cast to! I did and paid the price. A great day out and highly recommended.
