Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Orosi river valley is awesome to see and visit. We took a drive from Irazu through the valley on our way back to San José. The area is scenic and you get a real sense of being amongst locals. The best thing about our trip is avoiding the high priced day trips on offer. We would have paid over $100 for a trip barely worth $20if we had booked through a tour operator such as Grayline. Rather rent a car and drive yourself around.

A quiet peaceful park, with 4 or 5 trails to follow. The lady at the barrier was incredibly helpful (at the time of visiting tickets need to be booked online, but they have a PC there for visitors to use if required). Loads of tables etc around the walks to have a picnic from. too, or just find a spot near the river. Well worth the trip there

We went for the evening experience. The pools were great. The view from the pools was stunning. The entry fee was a little pricey, but worth it. All the staff was friendly and helpful.
The meal was very medicore and ridiculously priced. We had 3 meals, 2 of them were fajitas and one order of wings, with 3 soft drinks, and it came to over $80. Not worth the price, at all.
I would go back, but only for the pools and sunbathing.

You do not go to Costa Rica but then this one together with the cathedral in Cartago are a must. Really nice inside all in wood. The oldest church in the country.

Great place! Perfect for a lazy afternoon, just to lay in the hills and enjoy the view. You can have a picnic there too! Really romantic!

The area of Orosi is by itself well worth visiting for its beauty. The mountains and valleys and roads going up and down makes for a nice trip with beautiful scenery.

The balneario de Aguas Temales, located in orosi is oj. Nothing is wrong or really missing as they have most of the things you expect. But at the same time, there's nothing with that little extra making it a place that stands out.

Nice pools, they also had guards (not all public pool areas has it), a restaurant, toilets, changing rooms, places to sit around the pool (they need more of them though) and some other things. Not exepensive to enter and a quite sizable parking with guards.

They also did push the rules and people left and right were reminded about where one could change, if soap was allowed in showers, no diving and so on,

I'd say, if passing by Orosi on a hot sunny day, stop for a while and get wet!

Calm in the nature but pricy with only a few small tempurated pools. They were building more pools but I guess the price would go up when they are ready.
The environment is beautiful but it is a bit remote, you need to have a car to reach. There is one onsite restaurant and a coffee farm.

Morpho Spanish School is an incredible small personalized Spanish school with a private teacher for each student (or you can learn as a family). We are a family of four and we had one teacher for the two kids and one teacher for the adults for six weeks total. The classes are really engaging and fun. It’s run by an absolutely talented and incredible teacher Natalia, who is also friends with everyone in the town! She has a great schedule of fun activities for the kids like art and cooking. We stayed with a family that Naty suggested so our Spanish improved a ton! Our kids became friends with the kids in the homestay family so they spoke Spanish all day every day (as did all of us!) Orosi is a beautiful town with great weather and gorgeous mountains and rainforest surrounding it and is a town of locals so you are truly immersed both culturally and linguistically. It’s also incredibly safe and welcoming. If you want to really improve your Spanish and immerse yourself in the warm and incredibly hospitable Costa Rican culture, I would highly recommend Morpho Spanish school in Orosi over any other area or school in Costa Rica. Its fun to travel to other areas in Costa Rica but the tourist areas aren’t great places to learn Spanish since you are not immersed as you would be in Orosi.
