Guided and at times herded through the transport networks of Kolkata to the original suburbs where not only were we treated to the kinds of local delicacies that I would be too scared? to try but lessons in history were conducted too. Every question was answered.Don’t worry about the food -our well-being was taken care of. The drinks and snacks were just so different to anything I had ever tasted., the sauces were sublime. The treats just kept coming
We learned so much about the inner soul of locals too.

On the day of the tour, January 4th our lovely guide waited for us at the hotel and the driver came punctually to pick us up. We visited all of the places as in description and we had enough time to enjoy everything. We got to know a lot about the history, culture and spirituality of Kolkata. The guide and driver were so polite and they were taking good care of us. We absolutely had an amazing day with them and therefore we would recommend this day trip always. Very comfortable transportation too. I will recommend them. We loved every single place on the tour, even though they were very different. - Mr mukherjee10 contributionsThe most neglected heritage property of the country which is nearing to die out due to the huge mad rush of crowded city life and hustle bustle in which we all exist.
The beautiful non polluting tram service is nearing sure death if any good corporate house do not consider to adopt and revive the life of only such service in the country and in the very own city of Joy - Kolkata.
Deplorable coaches, poor maintenance, staffs, infrastructure is inevitably brining down this heritage property yo closure. From above 110km today hardly 30 km of tram line and service is operational with hardly few hand counted vehicles are found on the track.

- Minoti Rajput3 contributionsWe had the pleasure of experiencing the Kolkata City Tour yesterday with the very capable duo of tour organizer and tour guide Tirthankar Mukherjee and RaviShankar Pal.
We were impressed by the warm welcome they showed us and the efficiency, enthusiasm professionalisms and knowledge of the city they exhibited.
We learned about sever historical colonial buildings, flower market, Jain Temple, Kumar’s Tuli house.College Street Cafe, Mother’s House and Victoria Memorial.
We had expressed an interest in visiting The Hare School attended by my father decades ago.. The research they did, the contacts they made , made it possible for us to visit the school. This shows that they cared about their work and the people who are their guests.

- Melissa P4 contributionsThis was the first of three tours we took with Soham and it was perfect. We were tired and hungry, having arrived from the UK that day and we finished the tour feeling energised, well fed and thrilled to be in such an interesting city.
Soham took us to food outlets we would not have had the confidence to try on our own and everything was absolutely delicious, including a mutton kosha which was like nothing I’ve ever tasted!
The restaurants and food stands are obviously chosen very carefully, with a keen eye on food hygiene, and Soham goes the extra mile to make sure our delicate stomachs are protected. We felt we were in very good hands.
It’s more than just a food tour - giving a real insight into how Calcutta came to be and how people have lived in this vibrant part of the city over the years.
We took this tour, the Contrasts tour and the Magic Hour tour and we’d have absolutely no hesitation in recommending all three.
