Chandni chowk has been freed of congestion and made to look like a delight to walk on the road with no traffic on it.You can do shopping and enjoy the eateries in abundance without pollution

Offers the best street side shopping experience in Delhi. We went around 6 pm and shopped for three hours till we got tired.
You can find street side outlets selling all kinds of clothing, toys, woman accessories, slippers, jeans.
There are both road shops and physical outlets all along the area.

Also we were able to find juice shop and eateries without which we can't sustain this shopping spree. But eateries are too crowded.

Must buys here - cheap jeans, handbags and slippers.

I wish we had stopped here the first day of our trip as they have every souvenir you could possibly look for in India at good prices. One store just inside the entrance, to the right, up some small steps, had every color elephant pants you could imagine. We had searched for those pants for my daughters friends every stop on our tour of N. India. A waste of time and stressful considering this place had it all. If you start and end in Dehli I would ask if the hotel could hold a small bag with the souvenirs you purchase so you can pick them up on the way back home.

We enjoyed spending several hours wandering the outdoor market area. It was very festive with a special Tribal India set of vendors, in addition to many regular stalls. It was a really good way to get a sense of the many (many) styles of handicraft available in India, and the rotating mix of themes and vendors will draw us back. We also had a good (simple) meal of momos at one of the casual outdoor restaurants on site.

There are lots of reviews about pricing issues and here is our take - what is something worth to you? It is true that bargaining was necessary. We offered maybe 50% of the asking price on some bigger ticket items and vendor prices came down significantly. We made several purchases. Could others have gotten a better price for the same item? Likely yes. Did we purchase some true handicrafts that we will enjoy for ourselves or as gifts? Absolutely. So is it “worth it?” To us, it was. If the price isn’t right, don’t get angry - just walk away! Plus it is a festive atmosphere - very colorful and there are various small performances too.

A market which has evolved into very big shopping complex over the years. It is not a planned and structured place. The variety offered is mind blowing. Shops offer every thing to suit every budget. Even high fashion items are available cheaper than other markets.

As you enter the Red Fort you must stroll past the CC Bazaar first to get into the grounds proper. The shopkeepers hawk their wares as you pass and there where some interesting items on offer from toys, wood works, bags & fashion items etc. Not as noisy or pushy as other Chowks ! The actual shops date back to the Mughal Emperor reign. On the way out the wife bought a nice wood carving of Ganesh, the Hindu God.

I visit the Lajpat Nagar central market for the first time. I find it a little rush area. I might get stuck in the market if I do not have a PARK+ app with me for parking. But it is a great place to buy quality products at the best price. If you are looking for the same, it is a perfect place for you.

It's a traditional market where you will find textiles, tailoring accessories, street food, precious stones and other things.
The place is crowded and polluted, make sure to wear your face mask and take care of your personal belongings.
