Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were so lucky to start our journey early in the morning from Negombo hotel. We could see lots of elephants at the beginning of the safari. Such an awesome experience. That's the highlight of our jeep safari. Addition to that we saw many endemic birds which we are not aware of. But still it was really interesting to see them and get some pictures of them. Deers and wild buffalos are very common in the park, we saw them at every single place we stopped. Less crowd and full day safari is the best way to discover the beauty of the park. Highly recommend it.

They will pick you up from the parking with a jeep and drive 15 min to the lake where the elephant herds are coming. It was a very pleasant experience.

The trip was excellent. Lashan was a good guide. We could change the length of our trip and locations. We could discuss the details in whatsapp before the trip.
I would recommend taking at least 7...10 days for seeing the whole island. 3..4 days is not enough. We drove around in a very clean airconditioned Toyota van.

Lovely safari around sigiryia national park arranged for us with our own jeep by our private tour guide. It was a very bumpy journey through the park where we experienced the sight of animals in their own habitat, wandering around the park in peace, it was lovely to see

Just spent an amazing ten days travelling around this beautiful island. The whole tour was perfectly organised by drivers in Sri Lanka and our driver/guide Pradeep I can’t speak highly enough about, from his good humour, excellent English and kindness to share his knowledge with us it was perfect ( thanks once again Pradeep). For anyone thinking about visiting Sri Lanka don’t hesitate you will be made to feel very welcome.

We where planning to trip our own, but if you have a plan allways comes something. So we tried to buy tickets Colombo to Habarana and asked accedentally from USP Lanka tour worker to help us and he helped us and also tell us about reallly good oppurtunitie to use their driver. He didnt force to choose them, he was nice and we gladly made our trip a little bit easier. So we traveled by train to Habarana and after that we had our driver Dilruk. He thought with us what to explore, was allways helpful and ready to change his plans to make things we wanted to do. He was like a bodyguard. And plan manager. And the man who is one of Sri Lanka :) we are very thankful to USP Lanka tours and to Dilruk (who you can allways trust)

If you choose Thisara you will be in very good hands. He is always helpful, smiling, full of energy. He can give you very good advice while visiting all the things you want to do (the better hours to visit attractions and to do trekkings) and he helps to avoid crowds and queues. He is completely at your disposal, he is also a very good guide that helps to understand the history and the meaning of all the things you are going to see.
Obviously he is very able to drive you safely in the dangerous streets of Sri Lanka from mountains to the busy streets.
He leaves you only when he's sure that you are safe and happy with your accomodation.
We really couldn't have had a better driver (or we can say travel companion) than this.
Thanks Thisara, all the best for you and your family

We cannot thank our tour co-ordinator Nilushki and our tour guide Dewa enough for our fantastic holiday. There was such attention to detail around our trip – ranging from a greeting with flowers at the airport, to snacks to keep us going at the safaris – and care shown by both during our time there. I was sick for a day or so during the trip and both Nilushki and Dewa demonstrated genuine concern for my well-being.
Planning the tour with Nilushki couldn’t have been easier. We used one of their standard tours as a starting point and adjusted according to our interests and the extra time we had available. Nilushki suggested places and activities that we might enjoy - all of them spot on - as well as accommodation, which was outstanding too. She was incredibly flexible and nothing was a problem during the whole process. She even took it to the next level, ensuring our itinerary coincided with annual festivals that we didn't know about. This was particularly so for the annual Buddhist parade in Kandy.
And our guide and driver Dewa. What can I say? Dewa really made our trip so special for us. He organised all the tickets / passes / accesses for all of our activities, as well as liaising with our accommodation to ensure we were settled in and comfortable. It meant we didn’t have to worry about any of those small but annoying things that otherwise take up time and stress during a holiday. He was our guide on the vast majority of the activities, he cheerily answered any and all questions we had about Sri Lanka (including some awkward ones 😊) and he seemed to know nearly everyone in the country! Everywhere we went he knew people and they were all happy to see him. I take that as a good sign of his genuineness and care. He was happy to oblige any requests we had, was always on time (even early), incredibly friendly and open and enthusiastic about the day’s activities. He was there when we needed him but also gave us the space to enjoy our holiday just the two of us. As he realised our interests whilst travelling with us, he suggested and added in other activities he thought we would like. They were spot on too. Honestly, the perfect guide and companion for our trip. I could not speak more highly of him.
Whilst I had wanted to utilise a local travel agent for our trip to Sri Lanka – in no small part because I wanted to give my business to a smaller local company, rather than a multinational travel agency – I was concerned about the quality of the service we would receive. Journeyscapes, Nilushki and Dewa completely transformed my concerns by providing such an excellent trip. I cannot recommend more highly.

I truly recommend this company if you want to see elephants up close in their natural habitat. Our driver/guide who was very friendly knew exactly where to find the elephants and thanks to the fact that we started our safari earlier (as recommend by the tour organiser) we were able to spend some alone time with these majest animals without other Jeeps around.
We felt safe at all times and we felt that the driver knew how to behave around the animals. What is also very important, he was respecting animals and would keep healthy distance between the Jeep and the elephants- it was their choice to get up close to us.
The price was reasonable comparing to other offers available on the Internet.

This was a once in a lifetime experience in all the right ways. Sri Lanka and its people are truly special, and I do not say that lightly. I’ve been lucky enough to spend time in wonderful places around the world, and Sri Lanka and its people are absolutely top of the list, thanks to Hellow Travel and especially to Dhanuka. Abundant wild life, spectacular scenery, magical temples, and beaches to rival the nearby Maldives, all packed into a country that is small enough to travel comfortably from north to south and less than a day, make this the perfect place for a holiday. But why would you do that, because every hour or so there’s a spectacular place to visit, something to see, or something special to taste or to experience. We had a private tour over two weeks of beautiful 4-5 star hotels, Glamping, safaris, great meals , and the best driver and guide you could ever hope for all for a very affordable price. But I leave the best for last - Dhanuka is an amazing person and thanks to him we really got to know Sri Lanka in a way that I have not done for any other place that I have been. He is fun, funny, smart, thoughtful, 100% trustworthy, and most of all patient and always has a smile. If you are lucky enough to have a chance to visit the magical place, jump on it, and be sure to go with Hellow travel and Dhanuka. You will be glad you did!
