Shyama and her family were amazing hosts and Shyama was a fantastic teacher. The market visit was a great way to start the evening and the beautiful surroundings of the village make the cooking even more enjoyable. I learned so much. The best thing I have done in Sri Lanka so far and the perfect way to spend a rainy evening. The entire thing lasted mearly 5 hours! - Ebba H1 contributionContacted me early on and explained the process (that they didn’t have the ticket as of that moment but would do their best to get them). They offered a full refund if they can’t get the tickets but also a full refund if you manage to find tickets another way. Great communication the whole time and ended up getting a reserved seat in 2nd class by the window. Indika was well on time and very professional. The communication on WhatsApp was also very efficient and smooth.
The overall ride was comfortable.

He drove his tuk tuk safely and was a good guide. He showed me interesting places and knew a lot about them. He respected all my wishes. He secured me a very good place for the Kandyan dances. I can't say what I liked the most because all the places visited were great. I RECOMMEND the trip with Lasantha. - Alyssa P8 contributionsWow! We are still in Sri Lanka but I won't be surprised if this ends up being our favorite day of our vacation. Roshan has put together an incredible tour and he's a great guide. He also knows the best photo spots and takes some great shots for you while you enjoy your view or swim.
If you like nature and plants you'll love this tour. Beautiful tuktuk ride through the country, learning about plants growing wild and locally, a view of daily rural life in central Sri Lanka (we even stopped at a local blacksmith!) and that's before you even get to the waterfalls. Each one more impressive than the last. And to top it off,.a homemade Sri Lankan lunch! We felt like we were in heaven.
The hikes are not intense, they are short and quite easy, but you will need to jump over water sometimes or go up small hills, so if you are injured or unstable on your feet this may not be the tour for you. - Vojtěch R3 contributionsWe were bit hesitant about the price, since all the stuff we’ve done in Sri Lanka so far was more on budget. But this was worth every penny! We had a great driver dedicated to show as as many animals and beautiful park views as possible. The offroading was also super fun, at first the roads are ok and and you can see the other jeeps, but then most of the time we were alone in the wilderness going through mud, sand and water. - Explorer659730238801 contributionOur day trip to Nuwara Eliya was an unforgettable experience, perfect for those short on time but eager to explore this charming hill station. The tour was well-paced, starting with a fascinating visit to a local tea factory. The informative tour gave us a deep dive into the tea-making process, and the tastings that followed were delightful—each sip was a true taste of Sri Lanka.
We also visited several scenic viewpoints around the town, each offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and lush tea plantations. A highlight of the day was our stop for lunch, where we enjoyed a delicious, authentic meal in a cozy setting, enhancing the overall experience.
Our driver, Kavishan, truly made the day even more memorable. He was not only incredibly friendly but also highly knowledgeable about Nuwara Eliya’s history and culture. It was clear he has a passion for sharing his love of the area with visitors. On top of that, he navigated the winding mountain roads with great care, making us feel safe and comfortable throughout the journey.
All in all, this was a wonderful and enriching day trip that gave us a perfect taste of Nuwara Eliya. There costumes were very ornate and the dancers were very skilled and impressive. 4/5 due to hawkers inside the venue - once you are sitting so can’t escape. They are very persistent and we had to be quite rude to get rid of them. Be careful about taking photos at the end as the dancers pressure you into tipping them.
