Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visiting is a must when in Pai, renting a moped and driving here is part of the experience, and can cost as little as 150baht for the day (+gass). The walk can be easy or challenging, up to you! More crowded during sunset, but not to a point where it ruins the experience, AT ALL.

We went with children aged 6, 9 and 12 and they all had a fantastic time - as did their parents. If you're in Pai you should definitely take the time to visit.

... a very different experience, as though you were in the middle of the country and entering into life in Northern Thailand. There were cattle everywhere. Unfortunately, at the end of February, the rice paddies were dry and the whole area brown and smoggy, which was a bit disappointing. We went to the restaurant afterwards and had a drink on the upstairs deck which was a great place to relax and enjoy the breezes. However, by evening, my husband had quite severe stomach problems which persisted for a couple of days. May have been the ice?

Wat Phra That Mae Yen is the landmark of Pai as you can see the big white buddha from far far away. When we climbed to the top of stone ladders and we found that the mountain view was really stunning, it's a must go place when you visited Pai county.

    The elephants are so friendly.
The first time we drove by there , tutduo invite us to play with him. And we gave him some bananas.
The next day. We took OT to river n play water for an hour . They walkwithout chains.
I don’t know why people said they are so poor ....
Sometime The guide yell at OT .... then the lady told me because OT wanted to eat the grass and just stop on the road and eat. The elephants Just like a kid. So cute!

If u want to have a nice moment with elephants, there’s a place!

    Different countries. Different languages.
    Don’t judge without asking.
If u dont know anything . Just ask first.

Overall it was a nice experience but the maximum time you could spend here is 1-2 hours and for 300
Baht it’s not great. My advice is to go early and avoid the crowds. I wouldn’t do this if I had a limited schedule.

Pai Piranha Park offers a tropical oasis of entertainment and relaxation, seamlessly blending thrilling water attractions with serene surroundings. Whether you're hoping to catch some fish, the outcome becomes a matter of luck for the day.

Superb pool, great atmosphere and fab music. Chilled vibes and super breakfast. Lovely friendly people and not overcrowded. Clean pool and lovely surrounds.
A really enjoyable day away from the touring around the region. Thank you!

We were fortunate to be staying at the Siam Reverie just outside Pai town, and the Pai River flowed alongside the resort gardens. It was wonderful to sit and watch the river flowing peacefully and gaze towards the mountains in the distance.
We were additionally lucky enough to be staying in Pai during the Loy Krathong celebrations last November and launched our krathongs into the river from a small pier at the hotel.
Several bridges span the river in the vicinity of Pai and there are some lovely looking small hotels and guesthouses on the banks.

Reached the viewpoint after a steep uphill drive. We drove a 4WD and the last bit was very steep, so possible something to keep in mind when with a normal car or motorcycle.

The view was spectacular, to say the least. Weather was very clear, which allowed clear views of the surrounding areas of Pai.

Entrance fee was 20 baht per person.

Favourite day in Pai- Me and my partner absolutely loved the hike to Mae Yen waterfall. It is relatively flat as mentioned in other reviews but does have a steep incline near to the end for ten/fifteen mins.

We are relatively fit and have hiked before and it took us 2 hours each way- the path, once you find the starting point, is relatively easy to follow, crossing the river many times!

(I am unaware if there are other routes) We started from Wonderland camping site- this for some reason does not come up on google maps app but does come up when you search google maps online and hired a moped to get there from Pai town. From here we crossed the stream, went across a field and through banana plantation and across the stream again to then follow the river most of the way, crossing it many times until you reach the marked sign.
(When you get to the sign that says 1 hour steep bypass to the waterfall do not let it put you off, it took us about 30 mins from this point.)

The jungle is beautiful and the waterfall at the end is just as lovely- it was not deep enough to swim but a quick dip to cool off and admire the surroundings was rewarding after the hike.
I would recommend to wear lightweight trainers that you don’t mind getting wet or suitable walking shoes that you can cross the stream in- personally I would not opt for flip flops!

Highly recommend this hike it was a highlight of our trip to Thailand

The best circus space i've ever been to! This place has it all, the most beautiful & accommodating place with amazingly sweet people. The thai staff - especially Pi Air are so helpful and lovely too. The dome is crazy cool with lights, projection & all the tech. The circus shows are creative & highly entertaining with skilled performers of many different disciplines. The views from the shala are gorgeous, don't miss sunset here! The ecstatic dance is one of the best i've been to, and i really love ecstatic dances!! Gorgeous venue, can't wait to see it grow even more.
