I have it a 4/5 for beaches on Koh Tao but a 2/5 for beaches in general.

I found this spot to be a tad less busier than other beaches was a huge plus. It was also wider and more spacious than other beaches in the island. The snorkelling here is also quite good - we saw a sea turtle, barracuda and many fish.

Price to get in is $50/Nhat and includes a lounge chair.

Having read various websites stating they let you on the island before 10am. I can confirm they do not!
I organised a long tail from Sairee Beach leaving at 09:00 with the hope of getting to the viewpoint without the hoards.
Arrived on the island at 09:20 to be told I had to wait until 10:00 to enter the island. Thankfully I was allowed to stand by the payment counter in the shade as 40 minutes stood on the pier would have finished me off.
At 09:45 the large Lomprayah ferry arrived and all of the people disembarked to walk straight through the ticket point and onto the island. When I asked the attendant on the ticket desk, I was told they are part of a prearranged tour and are allowed on early.
As soon as the time reached 10:00 to the second I was allowed onto the island.
I went straight to the viewpoint and thankfully I didn’t pass anyone walking up and I had around 10 minutes on my own before people started to appear.
My advice to anyone making their way by long tail boat is to arrive at around 09:35 and wait it out. When allowed in, head straight up to the viewpoint to take your pictures then you may miss the crowds.
Just to note. The signs on the island all say it closes at 15:00 (instead of 17:00 that I saw online) just to bear in mind if going in the afternoon.

This was a beauty viewpoint with a fun hike to the top. Only downside was how many people were there. I’d suggest going early in the morning to avoid the rush.

I booked online for a private class and found it very easy to do!
The class was great and as it was my first time doing muay Thai they showed me all the basic techniques and moves to do. Planning on coming back as it is a great workout too as they push you to your max! I would highly recommend giving this a try. Special thanks to Chan who trained me.

This area of Koh Tao was beautiful. There are lots of restaurants and bars on the ocean and just back from the ocean.
The biggest thing we noticed was the age group. I would suggest the area is for predominantly younger clientele. Both of us at 62 and 66 respectively, felt the vibe just wasn’t great for us. To be clear, nobody said or did anything to us, it was just the vibe/music that didn’t fit.

It's a nice beach, great for swimming and snorkeling, it's located away from Sairee so the beach is relatively quiet, most people you see there are from the Sai Deng resort located close by, didn't like the cctvs on the beach but I guess it's there to deter thefts, it's on the wrong side of the island for sunset so don't go looking for one there, the road up and down is quite good except for the beginning where there's a bit of a dirtroad but it links up to a good road shortly, there's a bar there and also a restaurant, the resort also has an infinity pool overlooking the ocean, it's strictly for the resort guests only but hey, they don't ask, I won't tell.
Overall it's a really cool beach

Went for a dive with Hakan from Samui Diving Resort and that was amazing. Hakan is an extremely experience dive master, but also very friendly and fun, making each dive even more enjoyable. We had a blast at Sail Rock: strongly recommended.

Based on other TA reviews and some experiences we read in the TA forum, we decided to save the extortionate taxi fare from Sairee Beach (we don't do scooters) and walk to Hin Wong Bay. Big mistake. Reviews stated that this was a 30-40 min. walk and only about 10 min of it uphill. It was 1 hour (we're not in bad shape), and 80% of it was uphill. We were sure that we weren't climbing that mountain we saw straight ahead - but we did, and it was awful - worse than the streets of San Francisco.
That said, the place is idyllic once you arrive - small restaurant and separate bar on a tiny beach. It wasn't crowded mid-morning, but began to pick up after lunch. We had a delicious and super cheap Thai lunch overlooking the water.
The snorkeling is awesome if you don't follow the crowd. Most will head out from the beach and go to the left. We did this 2nd, and it wasn't great - some trash in the water and not as nice. Instead, go out from the beach and head to the right. The further you swim (15 minutes or more), the better it will get. The snorkeling to the right is outstanding - we swam through some cool canyons and saw tons of tropical fish. There are said to be some sharks and turtles here, but we didn't see any.
If you do take a taxi here or make the same mistake we did and walk, there is a way to get back to town. The bartender at the little beach bar also doubles as a motorbike taxi. He took us one at a time back to Sairee Beach for super cheap.

The most beautiful beach with a fantastic opportunity to enjoy coral reef. I recommend this place and Koh Tao for sure.
