Railroad Park is still being developed but has walking trails, luck lawn areas, flowers in season and is just across from Regions Field where you can watch the Birmingham Barons play baseball in the summer.

Equipped with a Museum and (Coming soon: Spring/Summer 2018) a small amphitheater, enhanced gardens, with master plans to "loop" the city with a 5-6 mile long walking trail will only enhance the park.
The gigantic Vulcan statue is definitely impressive, but, beyond that, it's relaxing to walk around the park, with its superb views of the city of Birmingham.

A trained staff of adventure guides is always on hand.They also offer an off-road, electric trike for those in wheelchairs who wish to explore the park.

The splash pad park, train, carousel, and the farm petting zoo were great fun for both me and my 8 year old daughter.
I recommend hopping on the little train- it'll take you around the park and lasts about ~5-10 minutes.

A wide gently sloped trail, with narrower steeper trails branching off, wormed through the park.

Sitting on the beautiful benches and watching the geese fly in and land in the water or even when they are just walking around the park, it is just wonderful to see.
I think that this park is very beautiful and nice for the kids and for the family.
