Located in Laranjeiras, one of Rio's exclusive areas, it takes you back a couple of centuries! There's a guided tour inside the Palace and its walking distance to the Laranjeiras Palace and the Flamengo area. It is located in a beautiful building open in 1868 to house money-making facilities. It is large, spacious and has very high walls and a quiet garden in its backyard. Photograph shows are usually held in the promises. It was built in the 19th century to be a branch of Banco do Brasil but it appears that the bank was going through a dry spell and the place was transferred to the federal government.
