What travellers are saying
- shiraziwineShiraz, Iran1,235 contributionsThis opera house as a real magnificent colonial architectural style is a must see in Manaus, i did not visit inside and i am not sure if it was possible but the Facade of this huge art was an amazing art with a great dome which faces to a nice square.Written 18 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

Seems popular with locals, safe and rather clean.Written 13 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- CarolSao Paulo, SP20 contributionsIt’s a great place to understand to understand the most important period of Manaus. But the place needs some maintenance to receive the tourists.Written 10 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ugo100hmonteNatal, RN516 contributionsThis is one of the most interesting places to visit in Manaus. You will find many species of wild flora and fauna of Amazon Rainforest. Personally, I don't like the spiders or snakes, I prefer to watch the big trees and native plants of region.Written 11 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- LuckySpiveyAtlanta, GA1,028 contributionsI’m not a big zoo fan. I always feel sorry for the animals in captivity, regardless of the habitat provided them. Here we saw jaguars, monkeys parrots and a toucan all in small enclosed spaces. The spaces were clean, just not much room, especially for the big cats. We also saw an anaconda- but I couldn’t bring myself to feel sorry for it.
The zoo is right at the edge of the Amazon Rain Forest. Seeing how very dense it is made us wonder how anyone could chop through it.
Very interesting.Written 4 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - RandyRossRidgetown, Canada9,018 contributionsSan Sebastián Square is a must see, with its beautifully crafted monument commemorating the opening of the Amazon River to foreign trade in 1866. THen there is Teatro Amazonas, the Opera House, inaugurated on December 31, 1896, with the first performance occurring on January 7, 1897. It has has 700 seats and was constructed with bricks brought from Europe, French glass and Italian marble. Beautiful..Written 3 June 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sean KCanberra, Australia276 contributionsI really liked visiting here. It's like a cross between a university and a zoo. The entry is cheap and you need a few hours to see everything.
There is a lot of animals you can see and interesting exhibits. Turtles, caimans, otters and manatees as well as a turtle breeding program. The staff are friendly and helpful too.

This is a must see if you ever make it to Manaus, Brasil.Written 30 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Marcelo RSao Paulo, SP8 contributionsI visited the park as part of the Encontra das Aguas package from Manaus.
In the couple of hours that I stayed I was well impressed by the rainforest, especially by some of the very large trees that can be seen. I would recommend that if you are in a large group of people, wait for them to go to lunch and stay behind. I did this and found myself on my own for a good half hour and was able to hear the amazing sounds of the jungle and could see some monkeys and interesting birds. I guess it is better when there aren't too many people around making noise and snapping selfies like there's no tomorrow.
Also be aware that this is not a zoo, so animals such as monkeys may or may not be seen as they are usually high in the tree canopy. To me this is a positive side of the place.Written 2 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - 25SueliLong Island, NY85 contributionsWe passed under this gorgeous bridge as we sailed on our cruise. Very beautiful and I believe you could stroll down by foot and enjoy the gorgeous views of Rio Negro..Written 2 January 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- mhawxhu214 contributionsGreat stadium which fills with exotic moths. Only downside is the screens are tiny and the score or time is not displayed anywhere.Written 18 August 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
